WHAT BROUGHT ME TO KZread: I worked at Goldman Sachs, in Private Equity, and built up a $100M holding company. But after being in Wall Street for so long, I got tired of managing hundreds of millions for the rich. Investing was for the few not the many. F that. You all are the reason I do this. We as a society need to get rich together. My mission is to create 100,000 business owners, I hope you’re one.

i lost my job back in march of last year, that same night i youtubed side hustles. i found pressure washing, and that next morning i started door knocking to get any business that i could. fast forward a week and i made my first $1k. i am now 15 months into my new business, a one man show, no employees yet and i have hit the $100k mark, in the past 30 days i grossed $23k, and i couldn't be more excited for the future. i went from working 75 hours a week at a job i hate to working for myself and making more money than i thought i every would. this is a great business to get into but research is key, being as knowledgeable in the field as you can is key.

@@DanielIvan707 It's work and you can get dirty and drench. It's fun. The biggest challenge is finding customers. Like Codie said start out as at discount price. I have some neighbors who are retired and offered it for free to them for practice. Their driveway and sidewalk were so dirty. I took a before and after picture. They didn't realize how dirty their driveway and sidewalk were. They thanked me and gave me refers. I did my others neighbors and charged them. I would rather do this full time then work my 40 week job if I can get more customers. And I get more and more refers because my neighbors say I'm doing a good job.

Seeing them shoot water up under that siding is painful to watch. Siding is not designed for water to run backwards and will leak into the walls. Not all homes have decent wrap behind the siding, this is NOT the way to clean your house. You need to scrub it with a brush and then rinse so the water runs down like rain.

"That's always the way we've done it". - This is something I avoided when starting the job I have now. I was told by the owners that I was the best person to have done the job because of avoiding this line. I had a math prof in college who honestly is one of the best teachers I ever had. He would show us how to do certain calculations like compounding for instance but go over how it works and why as well as showing the equation backwards or taking a number out to prove that no matter what, we always get the same numbers as they are all in a relationship. I applied that how and why to pretty much everything I do now. After I got familiar with the process, I started thinking of ways to improve it and even experimenting a bit to see if something can be done faster. I end up eliminating a step that wasn't necessary on one of the bigger machines we use as I found out it wasn't necessary to do unlike our smaller ones. That sentence there is probably mentioned more out of fear than out of "doing it right". Change is scary to some and it is also what holds us back from innovating and providing even more for people.

Proper branding and a website thats optimized for conversion should not be overlooked as a low expense. Its just unrealistic and not a one size fits all solution. Its the digital business card where people would book you for services. Why minimize the importance of that investment?

This business has federal, state, and local regulations regarding the management of processed wastewater runoff to consider. The fines can be extreme if not understood and followed. Sadly, no one ever tells you about it. Do your due diligence.

I'm so impressed. You found a way to charge the customer as much as possible while paying your employee's barely enough money to keep them from quitting. I'm sure the quality of your service is outstanding LOL, what a joke.

I don't believe you have to worry about amateur competition in any business. It's any pros that you have to go head-to-head with that you take seriously or better than that, switch or improve your value proposition.

Great question. Each juristiction can vary wildly on the costs. Here in Toronto, water an be crazy expensive. Also, how you dispose of the water can be a cost as well as some cities don't allow major run-off and expect you to capture the grey-water and go dump it at a proper facility for environmental reasons.

He was a talent agent for academy award winners and only making $30k a year? He could have made much more as a realtor, heck those academy award winners personal assistant makes $100k in most cases (except fools and those doing elderly care, Betty White's assistant was making minimum wage; if they get accommodations it's not too bad but kinda foolish if they're not simply a huge Betty White fan.)

    G. B. Hardy, a Canadian scientist, once said, “I have only two questions to ask. One, has anyone ever defeated death? Two, did he make a way for me to do it also?” Indeed, yes to both questions. Yeshua=Jesus said to his followers: Do not let your hearts be troubled. You believe in God; believe also in me. My Father’s house has many rooms; if that were not so, would I have told you that I am going there to prepare a place for you? And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come back and take you to be with me that you also may be where I am” (John 14:1-3).
