    I like your swivel connects quick connects they should be mandatory on all pressure washers trying to wrap up that hose without them it's like trying to wrap cable

    I've enjoyed a lot of your videos and your knowledge on many things is impressive. good tips except for the extension pole and using a Surface Cleaner on a wooden deck. You shouldn't use high pressure on your house's siding.or your deck. You will damage the siding or deck boards and /or blow water behind the vinyl siding. which can damage the framing. To easily wash the siding of a house, you'll want to spray Sodium Hypoclorite (Bleach) through a down stream injector onto the siding. Let it dwell a few minutes and then rinse it off. Using the down stream injector vastly reduces the pressure, but you STILL want to make sure that you are not blowing water under the siding. On deck washing...Painted railings and trim will clean up nicely with bleach and some people use bleach on wood. Che with "The Wizard of Wood" for a very pro method of cleaning wood with no pressure.

    If you don’t have a need for a long extension pole, I would recommend a different gun setup. On the inlet side of the trigger unit install a swivel fitting and a quick disconnect (QD). I would not install the bulky ball valve. On the outlet end of the trigger unit install a female QD. Then buy lances with a male QD on one end and a female QD on the other end in whatever lengths fit your purposes. I have 1’, 2’ and 3’ aluminum lances. In a pinch, you can connect multiple lances together to form a longer lance. Lack of rigidity, however, does limit the total length of your stack. I like the aluminum lance sections as they are lighter. The advantage of this system is that you only need one trigger unit and you can eliminate the ball valve. Since there is no pressure on the outlet of the trigger unit, you can change your lances, spray tips and foam cannon without turning off the pump. Your other recommendations are on point and much appreciated.

    Excellent video Doug! Never knew that there was so many different attachments for a pressure washer! I’m definitely going to look for the shorter wand/gun, shutoff, and swivel fittings. Have you considered listing links in the video description or have a “store” where you would receive a percentage for every purchase thru your “store”?

    Hi Doug. You provided great tips and attachment ideas! I have a flexible end on my pressure washer wand which allows you to bend the nozzle up to 90 degrees from the direction of the wand. I use it to get the underside of vehicles and other places the length of the wand won't let you get to. Kind of like why you have the short wand. The flexible end would allow you to wash your siding by spraying at a downward or straight on angle to avoid the chance of getting water up under the siding. Looking forward to your next video!

    Have you tried "30 Minute house wash"? I got some at Lowe's to wash my vinyl siding on the north side of my house, mold, algea, etc. It's also great on concrete too. Just soak it down and let it soak for about 3 min and repeat then rinse with reg garden hose pressure. Garden hose hooks to the bottle and spray it on, no pressure washer needed. Great product!

    Problem - most home owner pressure washers don't have a pressure relief built in. So when you have the pump running & the valve shut off, the pump over heats & burns out the pump. Especially gas powered. If the water is flowing, than the pump stays cool. There is actually a warning in the manual.

    You could purchase a longer tube with a quick coupler for you foam cannon gun and just switch out the tube instead of the entire gun. Then you wouldn’t need a ball valve as the gun shuts off the water. Also the water flow cools the pressure washer so don’t let it run too long with no water flow.

    Learned a lot! Thank you. I have one question: if you were to buy a pressure washer (only one), would it be better to get the 4K psi than the 2K psi? Is it significantly better/quicker? Marcus from Chesapeake Virginia.

  • @OneEyeCustoms

    @OneEyeCustoms

    Жыл бұрын

    @Marcus White That’s a really tough question and I have to look at it based on why you would want a pressure washer or what were you going to use it for. If you are using it to maintain your property as i showed, then definitely a gas high psi and high gpm. If you are just washing cars and occasionally cleaning a sidewalk and as long as you have a convenient electric outlet, I’d go electric with at least 2000psi with 1.5 to 2.0 gpm and a unit that shuts off when not in use. Hope this helps!

    1. That water broom works great for cleaning off pool covers when you take them off the pool in the spring and they're caked up with algae and crud from over the winter. Lay it out on the driveway and go to town, then flip it over and do the other side. 2. Where did you get that garden hose reel? That looks like a legit reel, not one of those POS's from the big box stores that last about 2 yrs......if you're lucky......before they fall apart.
