Just replaced the whole pump, $80 dollars for new pump on Amazon. I also added a external downloader valve with a blow off so when I let off sprayer it won't overheat the pump. Videos on u tube about adding external download valve. Thanks for your video, I have a friend that will probably follow your instructions, it's a money thing.

Have now used this to clean house siding and it performed well kzread.infoUgkx43QMbQqu67IZadu9ou8Sg1BdrunMRNqX I also bought some wand extensions which enabled higher washing without needing a ladder. I recommend both. This unit arrived quickly, was easy to assemble (only had to attach the handle), and arrived in perfect condition. The only very slight downgrade from a perfect score is the design has a low handle and requires pulling from the side. My old washer was an upright model, while this one is more horizontal. Other than that, it's perfect for my needs. It has a great deal of pressure and more easily cleaned the house siding, porch rails and concrete than did my older model. The engine is a bit louder, as well, but the total time to clean was reduced by the more powerful spray. Did I mention it starts on the first or second pull every time?!! I am definitely happy with this model.

melted = run dry, or run with trigger NOT depressed. Do not run engine unless moving water. That is why electric which sghut-off when trigger not pulled last longer (but crapier quality). Thanks for video. Comments from all people also priceless.

Doing the same job. Oh, you can find a completely new pump from AR (made in Italy), but at $320.00 plus shipping.... most will purchase a new P/W. I found all my parts to do a major overhaul on pump head (because top half was not leaking oil) online and now waiting for all the kits to arrive. I'm doing this repair for a friend and it's a Craftsman P/W. Note: Get an RV male water hose to air compressor adapter and with low air pressure make sure to blow all the water out of the pump for winter storage; less than 10 PSI. Great video Dave.

@@A_Renaissance_Man Also, the recommended bolt and cap torque specs on these pump heads are 221 "Inch" lbs. (not ft-lbs) that's about 18.4 ft-lbs. (221 divided by 12), and DO NOT use Loctite or any other type of thread locker. The correct O-ring and torque are perfect so the vibration will never make these come loose. I use the water hose to air-compressor adapter to get all the water out of my RV's waterlines/12V water pump/faucets, and hot water heater. And of course, all P/W's; both gas and electric.

Noticed you bled the line, turned water valve off then started the machine and opened the valve again, your problem will happen again, never start it dry even for a moment and never let it run for an extended period of time without using the power washer.

I pulled one out and measured the bolt. M8 x 1.25 x 40mm Socket head cap screw that needs a 6mm Allen wrench. Of course you can also get a hex head if you want. Home Depot, Amazon, and Lowes have them.

@@A_Renaissance_Man Just wondering. I have to replace the washers in mine about every 3-5 year depending on how much I use it. Where I'm at we have extremly hard water. The minerals in the water slowly destroy the gaskest's & washers like a sandblasting effect. They look like the ones you were showing. That's why I was asking. Being 15yr old the material just broke-down. Great video keep em up.👍
