I don’t think we’ll ever know how lucky we are to have Eddie Howe as our manager. He supports and protects the players so well and it is so good to see him so jovial and happy in a press conference. As supporters of NUFC I think we need to remember that we can protect our manager too. If someone had told me 20 years ago that we’d be coming off the back of a season in the Champions League, and that the final few games of the season were a push for Europe and not a relegation scrap, I’d have snapped their hand off. Well done Eddie Howe… another stellar campaign!

As a long term supporter, Eddie Howe is Newcastle for me. such composure and down to earth idea of things, but still competetive and great leader for the team ❤️

My manager. Behind him all the way. The fact we are 2 points off 6th after getting to 2 Quarter finals and being 20 minutes away from qualifying out of the toughest group in the CL with all the injuries he's had to deal with aswell as the Tonali situation is so commendable. Never complained, never made excuses, just got on with it. So proud to have Eddie leading our club.

I feel we have a very kind run in for the rest of the season. of course there will be points dropped again some of the teams at the bottom of the table who will be fighting for their life. But as after tomorrow we won't be playing any of the "big" clubs... Hopefully that will free up our play a little and take the pressure off us and allow us to play with more enjoyment and hopefully we will have an entertaining end to the season.

I always enjoy listening to Eddie Howe press conferences. He's like a valued friend that you get to spend time with once or twice a week. I also like the journalist 'Louise' here, who generally asks interesting questions, a bit left-field but always thoughtful. I don't know who she works for but I'm guessing she writes good stuff.

Following 14 years of Mike Cashley tyranny, every toon manager henceforth should be compelled to give regular communication to the fanbase during the season. joelinton would be the David Silva of this club - the player that would stay for a long while during the reviving of the football club. Big Joe has the personality and skills required to push this club forward. Support him by finding or promoting similarly committed players around him. The injury situation needs to be looked at carefully and the manager should be willing to adapt his style of play/work if necessary. Do not be like Steve Bruce and be stuck in one way. Coach Becky Langley is doing a brilliant job with the women's team and is a model professional. Good luck to them this weekend and hope they clinch the title in front of the supporters.

European football is catching the premier league this week I took a look at Leverkusen v West Ham and was surprised at the speed, tackling and desire of the Leverkusen team.

Next season we should sell Miguel Almiron and recall Yankuba Minteh. Possibly buy another right winger aswell. We also need to buy a striker (and maybe sell Callum Wilson), a classic number 10 with flair, a centre back, a left back and a goalkeeper. With all of this and our players who are unavailable at the moment returning next season we will definitely push for the top 4 places and hopefully finally win a trophy! If the FFP rules are relaxed then all of this should be done.

Investigations in the summer 😂😂😂, after every injury you do a review, why did this occur?, did we get it right? Could we have seen this earlier? How do we prevent reoccurrence? What do we change to prevent this? How good was the specialist? How many points did this injury cost us? Is this an increasing trend? What's the likelihood of reoccurrence? Does the recovery plan include anything specific for this injury? You don't wait till the end of the season to do reviews.

Like last season when we faced spurs at home at a similar time, this is a crucial game for Europe. Problem is we will struggle against spurs but no one wants to admit that bcos of pride. Clinging onto last season. That’s gone. Spurs added well, score goals and were always going to turn it around from end of last season. Whereas we went on a ridiculously ineffective American tour, played 3 premier league teams, knsckered ourselves in the heat, had youngsters on the bench and senior players dropped out and that’s still the case now. We didn’t get it right in pre season and it’s lasted all season. No one expected so many players to drop out this season but it seems to be reoccurring issues more than anything else. We’ve now lost willock and hall! So to sum up, although Eddie is happy etc and relaxed, it’s a cover up bcos he’s bricking it again. We have Anderson on the bench and if willock is out that leaves no 1!? Yet again! It’s even worse than last game.
