Edit: if allowed a fantasy, Biden could have enough Congresscritters removed so as to provide the Dems with supermajorities in each chamber, which, if properly organized, could allow for legislation that undoes electoral college, passes voting rights, passes women's health laws and ERA amendment. Just Do It - get it all done before any special elections can be called anywhere.

My mother had dementia. If she was a ginger biscuit, then the dementia meant she had lost the ginger and all that was left was the sugar. All she wanted was kisses and hugs. I felt lucky. One of my best memories was after she forgot who I was and she watched me for a while then said “you are a very nice girl”.

Adding a separate comment re: Princess Kate. I am about 4 month post chemo that, literally, almost killed me with 3 bleeding ulcers. I'm still enduring treatment that will last until the end of this year. You are so spot on...cancer changes everything...my life will never be the same. I feel great empathy for Kate and send her and her family healing and well-being energies. I feel for her children, this must be so frightening for them. I wish her complete healing and thriving as she navigates this very arduous and challenging journey.

My heart broke for Catherine. Chemo, at best, makes you weak. On good days, I couldn't stand long enough to do the dishes. The idea of her having to get dressed, do hair, walk stand, smile and wave makes me really mad. I wonder if any of the tabloids will talk about the cruelty of it. I agree wth what you said about abdominal surgery. I had abdominal laporoscopic surgery as a young person, and I was in excellent shape. It took one whole year before my abdominal muscles healed. You use your abdominal muscles for everything!

I had that surgery too...cut from navel down when I was young. I had two little children and no help. I thought I would die, could not stand up straight for a very long time. Horrible pain but I had to do what I could for my family. She needs to take good care of herself. Prayers for her.❤

He as witness to a multiple shooting at the shopping mall he worked at in 1985, 3 killed and 7 wounded. It was life altering for both of us. The immediacy of the pain last week’s decision on the bump stock issue was difficult, but not unexpected. So much for “life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness”, James Madison and Thomas Jefferson would be horrified. I usually do get out the vote phoning in the fall of the election year, but now I signed up to start Tuesday. I hope to be one cog in a very large machine to get Democrats to the polls.

I think you’re right. The biggest problem for Catherine at this difficult time is the members of the public/media etc that are coming out with nagging about where she is, that she’s dead, etc etc. whole websites of it. She needs peace and time to heal, and I hope she can be allowed to have it.

I got that she really wanted to go and was happy at the cheering from the crowd. But she’s in pain. And frustrated she got ill. The kids were restrained so as not to cause mother extra work. That was William who made sure the kids behaved which is no problem as they are behaved. We keep reading our distortions into Kate. She and William are tight.

Thank you Maryann we appreciate your insights and thoughts, trump behaves like a spoilt demanding child throwing his weight around when he can’t get his way and not happy to see his faults and behaviours are the cause of the problems he created!!! I've had one horrible oncologist after another. I think I can finally fall asleep now. 🙏 For your sister. I'm ready for my next journey. It's the pain that I'm having a tough time with. Can't wait to go to a group meeting this week.

I think that the Palace has been tough on people for a long time. I can’t forget the Queen standing to meet Liz Truss only a couple of days before she died!

In the last rallies,the felon ex-president has been talking about having taken another cognitive test and said he “aced” it. I wonder if he was pressured into taking that test because his entourage have noticed he was going off the rails… thank you for all your readings. They are always enlightening and reassuring.

A newspaper dated 6-16 stated the test he took was in 2018. This was noted because he recently suggested Biden have one. Also, the article stated he flubbed the name of the doctor who administered the test. Trump also offered, "The Dr. said I'm the heathiest man ever to occupy the WH!" SMH

The picture in the car is before they got into the carriage as they arrived to the event. They all look very serious and sombre and that they wish they could be elsewhere. Hope she'll be ok.

When I think about what it took for Catherine just to get herself dressed, hair coiffed, and makeup applied for the event, I felt already exhausted for her. I was so miffed at the British broadcasters for ignoring all the subtle signs of exhaustion and tension. My heart goes out especially to darling Charlotte who seems to be the little mother, often checking Prince Louis’ behavior and wanting to be perfect…(although I do recall a time when she was little, she stuck out her tongue at an event 😉) The press made a big deal about a moment when William and Catherine exchanged a smile on the balcony but made no mention of what looked like tension (exhaustion?) in the car after the event. I hope now that the Firm backs off and lets Catherine heal… however long she needs…and lets those dear children be children and that family come together as a loving unit instead of caricatures for a curious public. Prayers for healing on all levels. Thank you, Maryann, for sharing your own cancer journey with us. We are so blessed by your recovery and presence in our lives. So grateful! ❤

Well said. At what price do the pubic want the Royal sharard. She many things that I don't like about it. The bears killed just for those silly tin solders marching, it's like trying to keep a fairy story going when the truth behind it is very ugly.
