I’m from Tennessee, and it happened on the school bus, everyone on the school bus was freaking out and me and the bus driver were like: this is normal :,D Because where I’m from there’s a lot of alerts from kids getting kidnapped and all that

I was in class when this went off. Almost everyone knew it was coming but it still scared us half to death from the sound alone and the few that didn’t know what was happening were definitely panicking for a few seconds before they read the message.

I was also in class but literally know one knew about it ahead of time,or those that did had forgotten, we quickly realized it was a test but those first 5-10 seconds were nerve racking.

Interesting how for the wireless EAS, they sound the old Emergency Broadcast System tone in bursts. For radio, TV and cable, it's just like a monthly EAS test.

the WEAS likely doesnt play you the “actual” SAME headers since the system likely doesnt function in the same way as the relay for tv & radio does, and instead plays a pseudo SAME header as an alert tone to grab your attention in a format that is easily recognised by you

Great video! I only got the WEAs alert, the EAS did not go off in my area. Thing is, I was recording my phone and when the alert goes off I clicked the home button and muted it... smh but I found that deleting the alert and rebooting the phone makes the alert go off again, so I got to record the video with the alert lmao.

This happen when I was getting home from school on the bus...me and my friends were scared as hell when you this came on

Now it makes sense why I never heard the test on my WR-120 yesterday. Actually, I never really knew it was happening until one or two minutes before the alert when my fiancé brought it up. I had my radio on expecting another alert which would become a tornado watch later in the day. I was glad to get a screenshot of the alert on my phone and see it on TV on the WBAY Storm Center 2 24-7 channel where I live in Green Bay, WI.

I had just gotten out of FFA Greenhand Conference. Stopped at Walmart to get Subway with my brother. (The rest of the group went somewhere else). Anyway, my brother and I had just sat down. I was a couple bites into my sandwich and the people who were on the bus with me, their phones went off first, then my phone started vibrating. (Sadly I left my ringer off)

its amazing how they can take over all the channels on the radio. so far in uk england we have not ever had this test unless if it was when i was younger.

I captured both the WEA and NPT. They have come a long way since the 2011 national test fail.

i was in my computer class and saw it was going to happen soon, so i put my phone on my desk, and slowly rolled away on the chair, my friend looked at me like i was crazy, then the alert came LOUD not just from my phone but everybody's phone including the teachers. it was hilarious XD

I remember I was in computer class not for that but there was a silver alert and some of my friends went to go grab stuff for next period and everyone's phone was going off in the lockers lol

I remember having no idea what was happening when people’s phones were going off in their lockers and mine was in my pocket on airplane mode. Point is, I got it later than all of you did.

I had that alert on my phone too, but I didn't see the alert on TV, I was in my bedroom. My phone was in the living room while I was sleeping then. I didn't want my phone to wake me up when it happened.
