Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts is proud to celebrate the 45th Honorees for lifetime artistic achievements: acclaimed actor and filmmaker George Clooney; contemporary Christian and pop singer-songwriter Amy Grant; legendary singer of soul, Gospel, R&B, and pop Gladys Knight; Cuban-born American composer, conductor, and educator Tania León; and iconic Irish rock band U2, comprised of band members Bono, The Edge, Adam Clayton, and Larry Mullen Jr.

Rainbow-colored doesn't necessarily mean LGBTQ+. The Utah Jazz team uses the rainbow colors as does the Kennedy Center Honors. Legendary designer Ivan Chermayeff's intention for the KCH colors was to symbolize "a spectrum of many skills within the performing arts". Pls. stop the stone casting. Despite her past, let's honor Amy Grant for her significant contribution to CCM and pop music.

So many judgmental "christians" in this comment section. It's truly sad and disgusting. Congratulations Amy for your accomplishments and for being a true Christ follower. One that loves ALL people and doesn't judge. You are a true inspiration to many!

I saw Amy in concert last year. She's probably a stronger Christian now than ever. Let us all remember with whom Jesus supped and spent His free time.

I agree. To me.. a “judgemental” Christian is no Christian at all
Interesting that the President focused on her Christian songs, omitting the fact that she had a number one pop song back in 1986 called next time I fall in love in a duet with Peter cetera as well as in 1991 with baby, baby!
