I doubt the notion that he has a "sane overview of the global situation" given that his stance on the Gaza conflict and his blank check support for Izrael has not only alienated a significant portion of his own constituency, but isolated the US in the global stage on this issue. I think the only card the US has left to play when it comes to influence around the world is its military potential in solving global armed conflict. Because in any other aspect, whether it's leadership on issues of democracy or human rights, it no longer has any leg to stand on.

I wouldn't consider this journalism. Talk shows have prescreened questions and discussion points, and this was the case here too. You'll note that when discussing Gaza, all of Biden's viewpoints were mentioned by Seth and Biden wasn't really pressed or asked to elaborate on anything meaningful. Then they quickly pivoted to much softer softball questions. It was a very well padded series of "questions" and honestly, that's just how it is with talk shows. It's a furnished appearance, promoting a body of work -- or in this case, the Biden re-election campaign. Obama had done the same in 2006 with Conan O'Brien before announcing his campaign... that's just how the game is played.

First, you can't call it a border bill if most of the money goes to Ukraine and Israel. We have a real problem with our borders. Second, there should be age limits. It's like watching your grandparent visit from the nursing home. The life expectancy for men is less than 80 years old. This is not okay. If you think it's okay to prop up someone in this condition to run our lives then you may need a check as well. This person should not be in charge of an entire country, and I don't want the other guy either. American needs to do better. Government seems to be the best place to retire, so you can collect a fat check right up until you die.

What's the point of Biden debating a liar? Serious question. Why should Biden debate someone who will just say lie, after lie, after lie on a debate stage? Lying non stop in a debate is a strategy that Trump does on purpose. It's not a mistake or an accident. It's advantages to lie non stop in a debate because the other person can't refute your lie other than saying "that's not true". You’d be surprised how asleep we are in America, until it starts personally effecting our day to day life. And even then, many people here are just willing to do exactly what they are told, no matter how ridiculous.. like staying in your home for months because of a mild flu

Democrats have changed far more than Republicans. While Republicans mostly have the same views of the past, Democrats now want an open border (Bill Clinton didn't want an open border in 2000), Democrats want to legalize all drugs (they also didn't want that in 2000), they want to go easy on crime (no one thought that was a good idea in 2000) and they want to have sexual books in elementary school libraries (also didn't want that even 5 years ago)

At 6 minutes 50 seconds, it's clear he's getting fed info through an earpiece--he doesn't hear Meyers, he's trying to memorize what the puppetmasters are feeding him.

This is not a demented diplomat who cannot string together a meaningful sentence. This is an aged but passionate leader who has his finger on the pulse of the world & who deserves great respect for leading this country out of COVID & into an improved economy. He has earned our votes in the primaries & in the general election in November- if we have any hope of defending our republic.

It was a pleasure to listen to Biden speak and it made me wish that he would do something akin to FDR‘s “fireside chats, where he spoke from the heart, and he spoke on a regular basis. The reason why people feel that they can make fun of him is that he does not speak in his own voice nearly enough. His thoughtfulness, his intelligence, and his vast knowledge would go a long way to reassure people that his age is just a number.

He is incapable of having “fireside chats” look at the first minute of this interview. Go back to 1:25 his brain goes into overdrive and the producers put a laugh track in to distract the editing they then did.

Fireside chat was my instinct too! Decency endures. Don’t we remember “have you no sense of decency?” (McCarthy\Welch 1954) So much can be transmitted by leadership that sets a behavioral standard of civil conduct.

Ceasefire is just the first step. Next we have to piece together a longer-term two-state solution, which is going to have to include leadership on both sides being removed or stepping down.
