Everybody wants freedom and democracy but this is not in communist states or stalinist states even not in Islam see Iran and the mullahs ! I appreciate the comment, but despite all my country has done to Iraq, I feel that we've only made things worse since our invasion and implementation of Western-style democracy....its like it doesn't work in Iraq due to it not having the fundamental groundwork to support one, let alone the common bribery of officials and police...

​@@andrewn.caldwell6218 At first, Korea was like Iraq. After the Korean War ended in 1953, Korea was not as prosperous and democratic as it is now. South Korea has had two coups and several demonstrations since the United States introduced democracy. It was not until 1987 that the people of South Korea were allowed to vote in person. All these efforts were made by Koreans themselves. The United States has only given democracy, but it is the locals who practice it. I saw the Iraq protests in 2019 and I hope Iraq will walk the path of Korea.
