President George H.W. Bush and his wife Barbara show off First dog Millie's new puppies to White Hou
(29 Mar 1989) First dog Millie's half-dozen puppies went on display for the White House press corps Wednesday as President Bush and his wife Barbara looked on admiringly and chatted with reporters.
The puppies - five females and a male - hovered close to the neatly cropped grass - their eyes closed - as the president and his wife talked of their experience with the litter and the dogs' mother.
The Bushes have decided to give the puppies away to some of their 11 grandchildren - apparently on a first-bid, first-serve basis.
Mrs. Bush said the children claiming the puppies will have the right to name them, and that so far, only one - "Pickles" - has been spoken for.

My sister in law has met both Bushes and Pres George W and she said they are wonderful people. so kind and Normal.

I love President Bush 41 and his wife the former 1st Lady Barbara Bush for their great unselfish patriotic services and leadership experiences to our country as well as their loving-kindness nature and spirit as well as their loyalty to our country and Americans and America's own foundation, constitutions and unity the principles. I also love their decency, humbleness and sincereness nature and generous mind of the forgiveness and appreciations for each other's services by their great leadership experiences. This is why I love President Bush and his wife the former 1st Lady Barbara Bush just as I love President Reagan and his wife the former 1st Lady Nancy Reagan. I believe this is why President Reagan trusted President Bush 41 so much.

Absolutely, very sweet and loyal dogs. They are my go-to dog breed (next to Labs, of course). It's when they give you that whimpering look with the eyes that gets you every time.
The time when the President can have a laugh with the member of the press. Very casual but still there is respect. Respect is not demanded, its earned.
Kind Couple (Mrs. Bush looks beautiful here), sweet babies and their mom!
Politics aside. Good People. Read anything about Bush 41 and people say the same. He was one of the best with personal diplomacy. He could get people to do things based on their affinity and trust of him. Jon meachams. book is the best example

The puppy that George Bush was holding was the only boy of Millie's litter, Ranger! He was called to be the President's favorite dog. Even one of Ranger's sisters was Spot, who was adopted by George W. and Laura Bush. Spot was the only First Dog to live in the White House for two separate terms!

I am feeling really emotional tonight. @TheRick Wilson retweeted a tweet from the Barbara Bush foundation and it brought back memories of when we had dogs in the White House, a dog is man's (and women's) best friend. Watching this video, it seems the former President Bush 41 and former 1st Lady Barbara Bush are still living. I have never seen them before, but somehow I always love them. Maybe due to their kindness nature and humbleness besides their great leadership for America’s greatness. God bless their children always healthy.

President Bush 41 has great Governing leadership experience to lead and govern by America's own principles of foundations and constitutions. Somehow, when he was hold dog cub and walk in the yard, he looked very down to earth, that everyone will feel he is the one very easy to talk to. His face shows his kindness under principles and decency too. I have never seen him before, but I do understand that why many peoples love him and his families.
