You realize this thing was projected by most models to go into Mexico. It shift fast to the point it shifted tracks 180 miles in 12hrs. We had a day to get ready in Houston so even if he left at the start of the shift, he still wouldn’t have been back by the time it hit. Also those meetings with world leaders probably took months to set up. Canceling would be pretty bad me show a lack of ability for the Texas system to respond adequately without one man. Not a good look. Finally, if you think the success of a response should depend on one man then you have no idea how government agencies work. They shouldn’t and we should be able to respond without the Governor being in the state.

Abbott and Patrick will never MAN UP and accept responsibility for failing Texas once again . It is embarrassing,

This isn’t a Michael Bay movie where line crews come charging in and start throwing lines back up. Assessments need to be made, materials ordered, safety procedures implemented, correct crews with correct equipment need to be dispatched and progress checked to re-energize segments of line. Also, yeah there are probably companies trying to come on board that may need agreements but a lot already have that in place or they wouldn’t take the risk of sending crews only to have to pay for it cause centerpoint rejected their agreement.

Stop lying Abbott. You are on vacation and you know that 😮. Disgusting Governor

This is not the time to act childish.

When i first moved here, wind or foul weather meant brownouts and blackout for days. -- unpredictable weather, assessment, lines of communication, coordination between local utility and municipal /state gov, coordination then with Federal. -- At all levels, please don't treat the people in this disaster as political pawns. Do the next right thing from now: stop the blame game.

Im from Mississippi, and we have been in worst-case scenarios in storms. I came to Houston back in 1995. I have seen bad things happen in Houston when storms hit and seen people pass away right in front of my very eyes. I also served as a armed guard to help communities to give water and food back in the day. This sadness me that our Governor who has been in office many years cant get his priorities straight and be able to help his state for nothing. Its time for you to be voted out. We need better politicians who better and caring for his own citizens who are depending on surviving from a disaster. You are a weak man and dont have the power to control our state in the right direction. How much do we as citizens have to take before we all pay the ultimate price for our lives behind your mistakes?

this is actually on abbott. let me explain he's the one that needs to put pressure on ptivate companies like centerpoint to provide better service. he is also in charge of infrastructure in Texas, meaning he chooses where our tax dollars get used. factually he has been spending a lot of money on border issues when he should be focused on infrastructure issues and let the federal goverment worry about the border. which is why immigration has been such a talkig point in the elections. so yes, I'm sorry to tell you this but it is abbotts responsibility and he is 100% the person to blame for all of this.

last i checked, states are governed by governors. ur governor is mia. hes also overseen multiple power outages. pretty sure ur governor meant for this to happen again, just like all the other times.

Does Biden even know how to use a phone? I just get the feeling they have to take half an hour to get him to pose for pictures for media LOL. But in reality, this should teach us all to be more prepared and self reliant. Instead of expensive phones, tvs, jewlery etc. Buy long term survival equipment.
