Preserving The Vasa / Wasa - An Old Shell Oil Film - 1960`s - Preserving The Old Swedish Warship The Vasa or Wasa Which sunk in 1628 and was raised from the seabed in 1961. The preservation techniques were more or less the same used on the Tudor warship The Mary Rose.

Visited Vasa many years ago. The hull was still being sprayed with glycol Wonderful Experience.
