Hello! k is the number of deferral periods. Halimbawa, interest is compounded quarterly (m=4) tapos nag-defer ng payment for 2 years, ang magiging value ng k natin is already equal to 8 (compounded quarterly times 2 years of deferral) Nagkataon lang dito sa example na compounded annually (m=1) tapos years of deferral is 5 kaya k = 5.

What if hindi po sya quarterly what if monthly po siya 24 poba ang magiging value ng K sana masagot po maraming salamat!

hi good day, db "k" is 4 lng, kasi first withrawal is at 5 years which is dun n start ng annuity. and counting of deferral periond is from end of year 1, 2, 3, 4 that makes "k = 4". take note that the beginning of year 1 is 0 (from cash flow diagram), meaning year 4 is the beginning of year 5.

@@pilitadevera4600 to you 2 yeers later lol.... in my opinon ahh depende siguro kasi ang k yan ilang periods "dinefer" yung payment. Yang m naman yan yung no. of periods lang counted na yung defer or hindi mas general sya. so kung monthly yung periods edi siguro per month yung unit so 12 sa isang taon ahh. pero ilang taon ba nya dinelay let's say 5 years dinelay. so ang m ay 12 kasi sa isang taon 12 periods (not counting kung ilang taon nangyari transaction or dinelay binibilang lang ng m kung ilan periods ang nangyayari paulit ulit kada taon). Then ang k ay 12x5 = 60 total periods na dinelay/dinefer.

In other lessons, the period of deferral formula is k= nt - 1 in which n is the compounding period or frequency, t is the time in years deferred. If that's the case, k should only be 4? So many are confused now. In other words, the 1st payment is actually on the 6th year with 5 years deferred?

wala po, yan po yung given na talaga

Pano po makuha kung nawawala naman po is yung regular payment, at ang meron lang ay present value

Bakit po yong lumalabas sa calculator ko 157,500.11 ang sagot ang layo

4 po talaga ata yan kasi ang formula po don sa last expononent is negative k - 1.
