I admire your resilience Sheila - when my Dad passed away in 2017 I worried so much for my Mum about how she would cope - but like you, she accepted her new reality and got on with it, and has blossomed into her “new” life - I will be looking forward to your Portugal videos 😊

Can’t wait to see all the videos from this trip! Both places are on my bucket list. My partner and I split after traveling the world together for almost a decade. Now I’m traveling solo and not letting the life changes takeaway any of my love, or ability, to travel. I’ve found the joy in solo travel and glad you have too! Keep the resilience going, and we love seeing what destination is next!

@@SheilaSimkin yes! Lived in Copenhagen last year and it was wonderful! I’m hoping to go back for a few more years. I got to travel to basically everywhere except the smaller Eastern European counties like Lithuania and Estonia.

I'm so excited to see the AMA Douro river cruise since I'm considering this exact same cruise for 2026. Thanks so much for the shout out. And you are correct I am taking a Viking Cruise starting in December 2024 and ending in January 2025. This will be a Viking Ocean cruise of Turkey and Greece. Then in February 2025 into March I am booked on an AMA cruise of the Mekong. I am so excited to be traveling again!

I have a comparison live kzread.info/dash/bejne/iKSE18d6qMqTnKg.html and will be doing another on this trip. But...I think Viking has the edge on food, but dislike the big table situation. With AMA, you walk in, choose a table for 1, 2 or whatever and that's it. They also schedule several INCLUDED excursions every day; usually 1 in morning, 1 in afternoon. Viking food is better but I like AMA more. Many different excursions to choose from; usually 1 in morning and 1 in afternoon. Love their bread and rolls! 🥰
