Built the entire interior of a Hartley RORC 39 in Whangarei, New Zealand and lived on-board for the whole three and a half years it took me to build it. Was on the hard stand in a cradle the entire time. Ferro yachts built correctly are really an amazing low maintenance boat.

BI have to tell you in my old Marina on RT he Chesapeake Bay there was one Ferro Cement Sailboat In there the hull was pointed a Hunter Green and the owner used Sears Weather Beater exterior paint That when i met that owner the paint was 7years old and IMO looked great. The hull was built bt a local guy in the early 70s and one of its trademarks was the main Spreader on the Mast was on backwards the builder turned out to be a drinking Buddy of mine and he told me his secret About the Spreader That the boat was covered in local articles and magazines and he was coined as being a genius because of installing the Spreader backwards he told me the truth was he had been up for a week during the poor and was so high on Acid he didnt know it was put on backwards untill he went home and slept for a day to return to see what the outcome really was of Course Sears is mostly closed now But i imagine someone stilll uses that formula as I believe that paints are all owned by 3 companies in the United States and get rebranded With other names ive read that people like Scherwin Williams makes Walmart paint it is a formula specked to ne branded Walmarts brand I’m willing to bet thats how Sears used to. Do their brands as well as Sears didnt really make much of their products they had other companies that were tooled to do that doing them for Sears and Roebucks one time a guy at my local store wrote out the codes of their item numbers That Revealed who manufactured their power tools as i am a retired Woodworker and reckonized the castings of the major brands but Sears had them change some of the colors to make them look different like instead of Mikita Blue/Green handles the Sears had Blavk ones i bough a few power tools in the past like that as they were usually less expensive

Impressed how good the cement looks....I’m wondering if the reason all that Fearing is coming off so easy is if because get used incompatible products or they let the epoxy primer sealer go off too long before they applied the epoxy fearing filler and it didn’t take ?

It's because whoever put that paint on either used a sealer that just sat on top of the concrete, so a non penetrating sealer or they just painted over the concrete when it was dry. Once one drop of water gets in the paint somewhere it vaporizes over time and starts pealing the paint away from the concrete. With a penetrating sealer you don't get that because the line between the sealer and the concrete isn't that distinct it's like the line between a sponge and the water in a bucket if the sponge is in the bucket. You just can't peel water off a sponge because it's soaked in.
