You have no idea how much this video series means to me. Thank you so much for getting this out into the world. Its indispensable knowledge from a Vespa jedi...it makes a project that would otherwise be a total mindbender to a mechanical novice seem reasonably doable. You're a great teacher
Starting at 16:00, the information about stator coil ohm measurements is absolute gold. Your knowledge is very much appreciated.
I fail to see why anyone would dislike these very useful informative technical videos, top class info in perfect layman’s terms👍🏻
Robot is awesome, camera work is awesome and so is the audio! Can't wait for Part 4!
I've ridden 48 years and only made fun of vespas. Now I understand it's to have fun on. Looking forward to a demo ride in Fla this winter and if I find a clunker to fix up your videos have helped so much Parts and letting us behind the only technicians wall. I've enjoyed learning from you for 8 months and thanks for the added expense of filming. Wish I was closer because I'd like to shake your hand. Good luck at hitting the 100!
Hi, I just want to tell you that you guys are awesome, your expertise and videos reach all the way to Sweden. I have taken on the task to fully renovate a P200E from 1981 and have 0 experience on mechanics, not cars, mopeds or motorcycles. So to say the least, you are making my way to a finished motorcycle a lot more fun and pleasant. You have been a huge inspiration during my knowledge collection process. So, a big big thanks. Med Vänliga Hälsningar ( Best Regards ) Tommy

We're glad we could help out with your project. Stay tuned for the rest in this series, and you'll be well on your way. Good luck, and thanks for the support!
This video has proven to be so useful. Very clear and well explained.Thank you so much for your effort.
I’m getting a neighbors 1978 P200 running by rebuilding the carburetor and electrical system for them. I think the oil tank may have a leak so will probably have to address that too. These videos are indispensable! Thanks a ton! Grazie Mille’!! Been ordering all of my parts through you guys. Incredible service, again thanks for making it easy.
Excellent and informative video, that is such a cherry example! My first Vespa was a '79 P125 in the exact same color, wish I still had it, though it never looked nearly this good in the era I owned it. Thanks for taking the time to make such a quality walk-through of these processes, it's like the Haynes manual come to life.
I did it without removing the rear brake pedal. Very proud of myself.

Yeah I think removing the pedal isn't necessary. Just run a cable housing down from the horn area. If you have the tank removed you will be able to see the housing come through to the back. Then string the wire through like he showed.
Thank you for sharing your knowledge Robot, you are a wealth of knowledge. I'm refreshing my 79 P200, and this is very helpful.
Super helpful. Well done thanks. Just ordered the parts I need from you.
Absolutely fantastic videos, you are a Vespa God Robot!!
You are helping me a lot, love from India❤
Thanks for your videos. Very helpful!👍
Looking on from Liverpool U.K. Great skilled work from ROBOT.

Thank you very much!
Brilliant, great informative videos ...
The red paint is likely Glyptal. Good video! Thanks.
Damn that SD cap got some nice colors
Robot ! I just got my LML Star ! and I love this scooter to Death .... in my eyes its still my little Vespa, Im ignoring the PX-Snobs ! Everytime I ride this scooter it puts a BIG smile on my face only got it with 3000kms on the clock ! just one thing that was on the scooter when I got it that had me a bit worried, the spark plug lead that connects to the coil next to the flywheel was melted.... I have seen this on other vespa's is it normal ? do you think maybe the heat next to the engine melts the connector point? Cheers friend that you for these videos.
I was a little surprised you didn't put some dielectric grease on the ignition switch contact buttons and on each flag connector in the junction boxes. Am I missing something?
I have a question, i bought this same cdi for my 125, is there a chance this could work for it? None electronic start.
Do you guys sale the paladin tools crimpall room and what kind of connectors are those called? Thanks
How do you fit the panel clips at bottom of frame
Share me ...Wiring cable 5pin regulator for my old Vespa scooter Excel 150 please?
I think there is a typo in your parts list. 2441285 is the Ducati CDI for P-PX models. I am getting my cart ready for a similar overhaul of a 1980 P200E with 1735 miles. Thought I could drive it as is, but the throttle cable snapped already!

That's the correct part for this bike, it's just manufactured by Ducati. There is also an aftermarket version available. Give us a call if you have any more questions. Good luck with your project!
👍👍
Je veux faire le calage du moteur merci
Hi, I'm looking in from the UK, How much would you be seeing as a return, a sale price on that P200E ?? A friend of mine has an original USA specification P200E, with the odd petrol tap and rear lamp on a stalk. Apparently the scooter one was one of a batch which couldn't enter California in the early 1980's, along with a lot of Vespa 100's (the Vespa 100 Sport, they were sold as in the UK), it found itself diverted to the UK.

Most vintage Vespa people in the USA ditch the stupid American-market plastic fuel switch. They always snap off if you bump your heel on it. Plus now they are 40-50 years old and brittle. American P-series also have an annoying sealed beam headlight.
My 80 P200 doesn’t have a front brake switch, can you just add that in? Sorry for the noob question!

Some of the early P series didn't come with a front brake switch. As you can see it's inline with the front brake cable, so a lot of people just removed it completely when changing cables etc. You could certainly add it if your scooter has the wiring in place. If not you'd have to do some custom wiring, source the switch and correct two piece brake cable.
Robot... I have tons of questions but you never respond to any of them. Is there a live Q and A in the future?

Unfortunately Robot doesn't have to answer everyone's questions, especially if they are specific to your own project. If you have general questions or questions regarding any of the products we sell, we may be able to answer them here from time to time, or give us a call. Maybe we will do a live stream Q&A at some point. Thanks for watching, we appreciate the support!
Great video on a great bike... Just a shame this little beauty was in the shittiest colour in that model year... 😔

Aww man! I prefer that blue to my faded red 79 P200...but I love it still :)
