@@TheonlyPsyPsy to be honest , I’ve only been using what the preply platform offered ( which are structured lesson plans) and other sites .However, I’m planning on implementing lesson plans this year . As soon as I get like a solid plan I’ll most def share. But, what you can do is use for instance , present simple activity on preply & then find like more present simple activities ( for extra practice) and then also find present simple discussion questions so that the student can implement what they’ve learned , you know what I mean

Hi Kera. Thanks for your informative video. my profile is life on Preply, but no trials yet. About 90 interest reads so far. Now, I'm a fellow Christian South African who has many years experience working with young children in a classroom setting. I'm nearing retirement but still feel able to contribute to society in a positive way and therefore I'm trying the online teaching forum.. Do you think I limit my profile by just wanting to work with young children or should I make myself available to teach adults too?

Hi Karina 😊 I hope you’re well. Often times it’s due to our availability or price . I’d suggest you give it some time then maybe after that see what happens

when i set prices i would first determine what my expenses are and then how much salary i would need to live comfortably where I am. I am a native English speaker and I live in Cambodia so I can easily survive on 9.00 an hour if I were to have 40 hours a week. As for scheduling, I make a point not to make times i am available that I know I am likely to cancel. I like to see my girlfriend and her family on the weekends so I do not teach on weekends. I also like to have a few days off so i can be lazy or work on personal projects. Many times it allows me to have an interesting conversation topic for my students as they are always asking about what it is like living in Cambodia. I have a lot of experience with teaching students and know that many students like hearing about foreign countries and the unique things they do there. Preply is mainly a side hustle for me when I am in between schools and/or simply need spending money.

Hi there, at times it takes time. I totally understand the frustration. Maybe , the acceptance process from the platforms side is taking a bit longer. At times, they do take longer to accept or try other platforms too… hope this helps

Okay, thank you. I am getting messages that some students are trying to book a lesson with me but haven’t finalised payment. I sent them a direct message, motivating them to take a lesson with me. I hope it work. I took your advice of lowering my price to attract more students. For now I charge $3. I hope it works. Thank you so much 😊

Hi Kera. My profile went live 5 days ago. Starting at $3. But I have zero profile views zero bookings, my profile score is 95% position 3... what could be there problem because it is saying my profile is live and visible. I submitted my I D for profile verification..Is that why students can't see my profile? Thank you

@@listenmbanyele44 hello, I also went through a similar situation until I attended their training and made changes according to their recommendations. What I did was, I changed my profile picture and rewrote my description according to the suggestions in the training. I hope this helps

Hi Jessica, In my understanding the thumbnail video could be your introduction video. When people see your profile your video is one of the first things they see .

Hey, this could be an answer for someone else . As this question was asked 4 months ago. The Thumbnail preply is talking about is the cover for your video. So it needs to be eye-catching . You can check KZread for examples on how to create a thumbnail. I hope this was helpful.

Your presentation is so informative and you speak the truth. I would like you to guide into Preply classroom. But I think it's my fault because gI didn't have headphones and I m using a phone. Now I think these are the reasons. But I would like to know where do you stay? May be you are here at Polokwane. Otherwise you r presentation is impressive.
