Preparing the Treehouse For the Winter - Adding Moss Roof, Insulation, Floor, Shelf & Making Rotator
Ойын-сауық
I finally went back to the treehouse to make it more winterproof compared to last winter. I added moss to the roof to keep the heat, removed the dried moss and insulated the walls with lin fiber, made a skewer rotator, wooden floor, a shelf and new piping system for the wood stove to avoid leakage from the roof. This journey started in October and lasted until the full winter arrived in December. Enjoy my friends.

This treehouse is solid & well built. Ready for winter. 👍
Now you should insulate the deck, making it a weatherproof roof. Then close in the bottom, making 2 rooms and turning the "upstairs" into a loft bedroom. Then you'd have a full blown cabin. Make an outhouse, a garden, a root cellar ) for storage and for severe weather). Add water storage and solar and you'd have a full blown homestead.
This man puts his heart and soul into his work. I always thought that building an elevated shelter was better than building one on or in the ground. But I don't claim experience or expertise in this. Just enjoy watching others demonstrate their skills.
I have watched this build from the beginning just over a year ago to this episode, and I really, truly admire all the hard work you've put into it. You should be proud of all you have accomplished. Oh, and I was wondering when you were going to get around to putting moss on the roof.. 😉 That stew looked so good I started to hear my own stomach growling for something as nice to eat! I can't wait to see the next episode in this series.. Best wishes from the USA..

Super cozy. I wish I was there...❤❤❤
Thank God for growing your beard. Clearly you have special winter clothes. Glad too. 😊
If I were you I'd take a tarp and wrap it around the bottom to keep the winters cold air blowing up under the cabin.
Impressive tools....😊

Truly beautiful work & love the tools you have. I'm going to look for something similar here in the States. Any chance you would please give the name of Company or maker to the tools you use? The knife set with the fire starter tool, the Machete Saw tool, the hand drill, it's truly incredible.
very good house . i like it.
Aynısını köye yapacam çok güzel ev
This is very nice for a mancave but I do think you need foam or air mattress for that hard log bed ? It would make sleeping more comfy

You need to add shutters or hatches to protect your windows when you're gone.
Make a fence around it
А вы молодец! Все так чётко и с любовью делайте
Сделайте над дверью крышу. Что бы во внутрь не попадала сырость. А под домом летнию кухню.

You should be in military service and teach others how to do this and live well 😊
Seeing that the four corners of your house are attached to trees, if I have seen correctly, you will no doubt get movement in your home, so have you considered cutting off the top part of each corner tree ? Sacrilege I know but your home will last longer.
What stove is that
I think I would have put 4 tarps over the roof to last much longer and to make sure no leaks for years
Maybe I'm ahead of myself but I would have put more floor insulation in. I had an office in an old granary and the floor wasn't insulated properly and it was freezing.
I would be very careful with those candles on your shelf you have a tarp for your roof with moss still could burn your tarp on the inside.

I know it was just for the view. I took them away after recording as the heat may melt the tarp and make holes
