you are an inspiration. You spoke your mom going to Portugal into existence in your "pop smokin' interview" "She returned to the U.S. and sold her home, and now she is living in Merida! She will travel to Portugal next and hopefully, this will become her home base. My mom is in her 60s, so it’s never too late to travel."

Hi Heather, I have been extremely inspired by your videos. I am planning my first trip to Lisbon and Madeira in September and have been researching places to stay where I can meet and socialize with Blacks in both places. I am 60 years old and plan to move to Portugal next year. Can you suggest places to stay in Lisbon where I can be close to people like us?

Thank you Heather! Great information! Did you pay online for her vfs appointment when you booked it? I paid online for ours, do I have to pay another fee at the appointment? I have heard of people who didnt have to pay online but that wasnt an option for me.

Yes , I paid online to book the appointment. She just got a money order today for the Embassy of Portugal and the other fee she can pay by card. Each consult/VFS office works differently. I don’t have to pay online when I did mine but I sent in 3 money orders to DC. Hope this helps!

The secretary of state in the US started a new “pop-up” Apostille Days. Check your local offices. This will save you time and money 😊

Just found your videos. My husband and I are hoping to move early next year and I'm already gathering information! :-) I do have some questions: 1. (kinda silly)...but did you fill out your application by hand or typed (I have mine typed because my handwriting is bad and I just thought they could read it better) 2. did you include credit card limits as part of your proof of income? on the personal statements that we're writing, we're including our banks, investments and I thought I read in Americans & FriendsPT to also include credit limit 3. do you think you'd be comfortable in sharing your personal statement? I have followed what it says in the Americans & FriendsPT which is very generic. Thanks!
