I only have a four year old and she wears me out enough and I just watch in awe how you handle Hudson!! Lol. Also I feel you on the hair struggles with camping and being outdoors. We have extremely similar hair types and it’s always a struggle to not bring all this hair product camping or backpacking but also keeping your hair in check and healthy. Braids was a great choice! So envious of your Green River trip. I wanted to mention that I'm an older woman from Calgary and did this trip with another female friend around late 1980's. We took a copy of John Wesley Powell's handwritten journal and read each day about his experience floating this stretch - we put in at Mineral Bottom and paddled to Spanish Bottom on the confluence with Colorado, about 6 days if I recall correctly. Give lots of time for the amazing hiking you can do up the canyons you'll pass - I hope you can do more than one hike. We rented our boat from Tex, too, way back then. Tex was alive at that time, and gave us the introductions and picked us up by jet boat at Spanish Bottom to bring us back up to Moab at the end of the trip. Years later (1992) and the first year with my partner of 33 yrs, we hiked with 6 others all around the Maze District for a week or so, supported by jeeps bringing in our gear and water. It was the beginning of a love affair with Utah - I go every year! HAVE FUN!!

I’m a hairdresser and had a woman lawyer who always came in to have her hair French braided top to back every time she went horse riding for long weekends. You need to do things for yourself, whether for around the house, trip or special occasion. Be kind and love on yourself ❤

Tori, any mother of young kids has a “overflow” room and isn’t lazy!! It’s just that your children never give you the extra hour to put things away properly! Now that mine are grown, we always put stuff away, unless the grandkids come over. Then, every thing is a mess, but it is worth it!💕❤️

Your Outdoor Adventure Journal is a great idea. When I was doing long kayak trips, I was usually too tired at night to organize my thoughts. Having a template (tailored to your personal needs) to organize and capture your thoughts really is the bomb!
