Stay safe brother! We just had Hurricane Fiona up here and it was deemed the worst storm to ever hit Canada. Most of PEI still has no power. Parents roof is a total loss and will need to be replaced. Wild times. Hope your place doesn't sustain any damage and you get power back ASAP, assuming you lose it. I just read over 1.6 million Florida homes are without power as of 3 hours ago.

Stay safe brother. I went through Michael back in 2018 and lost power for 5 days. Needless to say, I invested in a good Honda generator after that.

Hey man, I'm 30 minutes away in Lakeland. Lived here my whole life. Some things to consider besides the obvious essentials: your tub holds enough water in a pinch if you come under a boil water notice, or to keep pets water bowls full. Pedialyte/Liquid IV powder packs are nice to have for electrolytes when your power goes out for week(s) and you sweat 24/7. Doggy trazadone if they get nervous during storms. Card/board games. Have fun!

Stay safe dude. My family and I are up here in Pensacola, we got hit by Sally extremely bad 2 years ago. Hurricanes have no chill whatsoever. Also!!! If you’re still in need a water, fill old jugs (milk, juice, etc.) with water and set them in the sun for a day. They chemicals will be burnt off in time. Not the best option, but it works.

I went through Katrina on the Mississippi gulf coast. Not fun. Fill you bath tub with water prior to the storm and you can also shut off your water supply to you hot water tank and use that.

Stay safe both of you (and your animals). It will pass through relatively quick, you'll see big improvement by Friday. My family still has a vacation home and property all over Marco Island, they've had it since the 70's, well before I was even born, never sustained any major hurricane damage (luckily). Just something Floridians have to deal with Mid-Summer through early Fall every year, meaning the threat of severe tropical weather. But they pass pretty quick for as ominous as they look on radar. It looks like your well inland from your videos, hurricanes deteriorate quite rapidly when they're not over the water anymore. I heard the comment that you're not in a flood zone or flood prone area, doesn't look like it from your vids either. I was gonna say to watch out for any snakes or gators becoming displaced and carried downstream but I don't think you'll have that problem, but maybe just keep an eye out for critters when the storm starts to pass through and you venture out. I love and miss Florida, great place, but definitely glad to be in AZ. You guys will be fine, Florida knows how to handle this, it's not their first dance with a hurricane and won't be the last.
