▶ABOUT NAMI NO KURASHI
I'm Nami, an office worker living alone in Tokyo.
The Japanese pronunciation "Nami" has several meanings.
One Nami is a girl's name, and the other Nami means ordinary.
Naminokurashi(Nami's life) is a combination of these two meanings.
Kurashi means daily life.
I don't have any special skills. My life is ordinary days.
I hope you enjoy my ordinary days!

Can we all just take a moment to appreciate how Nami does more in her tiny kitchen with a tiny stove, barely an oven or prep space, small refrigeration, etc. than most world-class chefs!!!! BUT still manages to turn out nutritious, colorful, appetizing dishes day after day, week after week, month after month, year after year! I’m amazed, impressed and grateful, my dear Nami♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️ Sincerely, a true fan in Daphne, AL US😚

I don’t think Nami’s fridge is small, but she does do a lot in a tiny kitchen. She told us once that in her last place she had only one burner so she’s thrilled now to have two. 😎🇬🇧🇺🇸

When I was 25, I lived alone for about 3 years. My apartment was bigger than yours, but it was much smaller than the typical apartments in my area. I loved it! Living in a smaller apartment meant I only bought/kept things that were actually important or necessary. I had everything organized and knew where anything was when I needed it. Now that I’m married and have kids and live in a much bigger house, I feel frustrated with the lack of organization and intention behind the stuff we accumulate. I feel it’s always a mess here that is somewhat out of my control because I can’t do something over and over a hundred times a day now that I have chronic pain. I wouldn’t change anything about the life I have now (except the pain) but I do still think about the time I lived alone in fondness. It reminds me that I was and still am independent and capable. I think everyone should live alone for a while if they can afford it (it’s a lot harder now than 20 years ago when I did for sure) because it teaches you things about yourself you can’t ever learn if you live with others. It valuable to see what you’re capable of alone and how you get by fine with just yourself and your own ingenuity. Very rewarding.

Vejo os vídeos da Nami e me identifico muito com o estilo de vida dela. Morar sozinha não é tão ruim, tem vantagens (a paz, a liberdade) e desvantagens (a solidão, a carência de afeto diário), como tudo na vida.

Your video world is lovely. I have to say, I find it very amusing that so many commenters don't seem to recognize that this is a heavily edited video. We don't get to see what happens behind the scenes AT ALL. There could be 50 people helping you cook, clean, shop, film, edit, etc., to make your world look one way when it's really another in real life. For all we know, this apartment is staged and only used for filming and not lived in at all. People have lost all ability to think critically, it seems. I mean, don't folks see the product placement? Has no one seen her early videos which were OBVIOUS commercials? Nami doesn't hide them...they're actually beautifully done and extremely subtle, yet very effective. I've bought multiple products because of Nami. That being said, you have a WONDERFUL thing going here. We LOVE IT! You will soon reach over one million subscribers! How exciting! Thank you for making us stop, rest, and enjoy your world, whether it's real or not. And your cooking is fabulous!!

Your vlog is so inspirational. Your carrot cake made my mouth water! Nami, you make your food prep look so effortless, and I wonder how much planning goes into it. So nice to find some fresh veggies and let them be your guide to planning your meals. Summertime in Midwestern USA we have farmers' markets, which bring fresh veggies and fruits from the farms to our neighborhoods. It's also nice to go out to our backyard garden for some greens and herbs. Have a great week.

I recently tried doing a no meat diet for lunch and a low carb meal once a week. I'll be featuring it in a new vlog video soon. I always love finding food on sale, especially veggies. I saw that this week there is yellow and green zucchini on sale so I'm excited to try that! I also saw the multicolour tomatoes on sale like in your last dish too, so I'm gonna try that this week. That mushroom omelette looks good, I want to try making that. I have also never seen pink ramen before, it's so pretty! And omg, those bow pastas are the cutest thing I have ever seen. I always wondered how you record yourself in videos out in public (like at the park) cuz I tried doing that yesterday at a park and was afraid of people watching me, lol. Do you set up a tripod with your phone or do you place it somewhere to find the right angle?

For those that are uncertain when selecting a watermelon: you can test how ripe it is by the sound as Nami indicated. You want a nice loud hollow "thunk". To get the sweetest watermelon you want to look for an "ugly" one with a nice big white spot. That white spot is where the melon sat on the ground and ripened on the vine for a long time which makes for the absolute sweetest melon you will ever eat. Oooo now I really want some watermelon! (^_^) Oh and those guidelines apply for all melons as well. Even those with a naturally pale or white rind like cantaloupe. You can look for "veins" to tell which melons were vine ripened if you have trouble discerning a significant pale spot.

Hello Nami !

I've been meaning to walk down to the store for produce but it's been so hot this week! Everything looked so tasty and colorful 🤤 I've been having a lot of pasta this week so some fresh fruits and veggies sound delicious right now. Thanks for another wonderful and long video 💜 I had a really bad night last night so I really needed this tonight. You're hands down my favorite youtuber, Nami😊

Thanks for the coleslaw recipe that looks so delicious. also tastes good with carrot sticks. what luck that you don't throw away the broccoli stalk like most others, I even like it best. Oil has become a luxury good in Germany. The carrot cake looks delicious too. What is also delicious in the dressing for salad is Apple Vinegar, you know it?
