Originally from Nashville, Tennessee, we got married June 2013 and quickly caught the travel bug! We started traveling full-time January 10, 2016. While daily vlogging was not the original plan, we were having way too many cool experiences not to share every single day! Now travel vlogging is our full-time gig and we feel like we have the greatest job in the world! We are incredibly thankful to do something we love every day. :)
We’ve pulled inspiration from several of our favorite travel vloggers on KZread, such as: +CaseyNeistat +FunForLouis +Jon Olsson +Mr Ben Brown, and any other talented travel vloggers that KZread’s algorithm will hopefully connect us with ;)

The trans-Siberian railway is how I found you guys. Feels like forever ago but only been about a month. I can't fully describe the impact of your videos on my life. Not only did it help me through a difficult time but it help make some decisions in my life that I had been putting off for to long. I stopped doing some negative things. I would just tell myself that I should just watch another vlog and another. I can tell from your videos that you are religious people and while I have always believed in a god of sorts, finding your videos and the impact they have had make believe that this god actuallys care about me. Keep up the videos :)

I just watched entire playlist on your Trans-Siberian journey. It is amazing! Your vlogs are REALLY enjoyable to watch. Production, high quality material I'd expect from some corporate network. Everything fits so well together... Great job! **spoilers* and boring language stuff below* I'm sure you had your reasons for cutting it short. Being cooped up in box with no shower for 3 days will wear out anyone. Even if it's a 1st class box (or I think it's called lux) Open one with no doors is called platskart. I have no idea whose word it is or what it actually means in original language (German?) but it's not Russian. Middle class (coupé) is great if you're traveling with another couple. I used to ride in one from Crimea to Moscow for winter holidays but the ride was only ~20 hours so it was always enjoyable. Riding TSR just for the experience was probably like climbing the Everest, especially with no Russian at all. Up side down little h (ч) is a letter 'che' like in "cheese" or Chekhov. Backwards N (И) is a letter E like in "eat" or Irkutsk. But letter E makes 'yeah' sound and you can't stack them together to make an И. Letter Н is letter N. Letter Х is letter H. Letter P is letter R and letter Я is letter Ya. Letter П is letter P. Letter Б is letter B. Letter В is letter V. Confused yet? :) Letter C is letter S. Letter З (no, not number 3) is a letter Z. Similar number-looking Э makes kinda like an 'a' sound in word "bad" Phi-looking Ф - you guessed it, F. Letter Г is letter G like in "Go". Letter Л is letter L. Letter Ш and her sister Щ make 'sh' and 'shch' sounds. Letter Ц makes 'ts' sound. Scary-looking letter Ж make 'jhe' sound but without initial 'd' sound. Speaking of D, it's Д. Letter Ю is U but it does not make 'Uh' sound, ever. That's A's job. Letters Й and Ы will need few more paragraphs to explain ... T, M, O and K are the same as in English but small letter T is written like m in script. Like most Slavic languages, Russian is phonetic and almost every sound have a corresponding letter. (2 exceptions are modifier signs Ь(soft) and Ъ(hard sign) Over the centuries it was modified with various letters added and removed. Just recently letter i and ѣ was removed. Before Christianity and 'acrylic' alphabet it looked slightly different with more letters and it wasn't called alphabet... vl-club.com/uploads/posts/2011-04/1301926869231i26.jpeg

This one is it guys. This is the very last video of my 400+ Kara and Nate binge. I discovered this amazing couple only 3 short months ago on day 1 of their Trans Siberian adventure and I have now gone back and watched every single video. Now all that's left is new content. I'm sad, in a bittersweet way, but also so excited for everything yet to come. I wanted to say that never in my life did I expect to see 60+ countries in any way, shape or form. Discovering Kara & Nate has completely enriched my life in several ways; it's changed the way I see travel, the way I see other cultures, the way I look at certain things. I discovered countries I never thought I'd love but I do. I've found places I thought I'd really love but were just ok. It also confirmed my opinions of places where I thought I knew exactly what to expect . I can't imagine my life without them now, and I'm so grateful that they've welcomed us into theirs. I ❤ you guys so much. Thanks for everything.

They’re decent. I’ve yet to find a really good travel couple, it’s always filled with fluff and always sugar coats everything like they never fight, unnecessary shots, glossing over or completely skipping useful or critical info etc. I’ve also noticed a really weird trend with the dude being way better looking than the chick and I’m always like what is he thinking lol.

Russia is both one of the most challenging places I’ve ever traveled to and one of the most rewarding. My husband and I went to St. Petersburg this summer. We were so nervous. You always hear things about Russia but we really enjoyed our time there. The people were absolutely amazing and so friendly! I wish more people would travel there. I’m so excited to see how your journey on the train goes. Definitely the opportunity of a lifetime

Angela Vlogs You should definitely visit Saint-Petersburg its one of the most beautiful cities in the world. You can go on Scandinavian cruise ship. You will visit Norway, Sweden and Finland as well as Saint-Petersburg. Also in that case you dont need a Russian visa since passengers of those cruise ships have 3 day visa-free stay in Russia.

Agreed. The people of Russia are hearty, happy, and helpful despite the government system that fails them all too often. After the coup, I flew into Moscow, spent over a month all over Russia with other Russian HS students, and flew out of St. Petersburg. It was challenging, but oh so rewarding because of the people we shared the experience with.

Advice for travelers. Unlike US, every train station in Russia has luggage storage department. So, if you are out of your airbnb place, your can store your stuff there and enjoy your last day in the city. Although, sipping coffee all day long in Starbucks may be also not so bad :)

As an independent traveller myself, you did the right thing, get the tickets in your hand BEFORE you go to the station. I guess in quiet stations, its not such an issue, but leaving from Moscow at 11 pm, you have maybe 1000+ passengers on that train. Also, it gives you breathing space, peace of mind. Good job guys :)

I love what you guys are doing but I wish you spend more time explaining and photographing the site rather than ALL food and restaurants. I remember when you were in Rome you both just walked past the Trevi Fountain without acknowledgment. This is a historical site. Maybe I missed it but I have watched a lot of you vids. Any way you must be having a great life. Cheers.

You can't imagine how much I have been waiting for your next episode of the vlogg. You rock.! Clearly the best vlogg there is on youtube. So my biggest question for the Trans-Siberian railway is if it is worth the long hours on the train. It sounds really cool though. :)

  • @AngelaVlogs

In my opinion it is definitively worth it. You meet so many different kinds of people along the way and in some areas the view is just breathtaking! If you think that sitting in a train for a couple of days is too much, then you can also book different legs and get out in different stops. But the more stops, the more expensive..

The Trans Siberian Railway journey has been on my must do list for a while, so I appreciate you showing us your prep day etc. I'm looking forward to watching the rest of the trip, although I did wonder if something had happened when the last vlog disappeared for a while. I'm happy to see you're ok :-)

You had to go on the Trans-Siberian railway in the summer. Autumn in Russia is cold and nature bleak, the trees have dropped their leaves. In the summer all the more beautiful.

My dad worked for Union Pacific and then Amtrak as a Pullman Porter, so I absofreakin'lutely love trains and train travel. So much more comfortable and friendly than air travel especially since the glamour of flying has long since fallen by the wayside! Happy Trails and Traveling Mercies!
