Prehistoric Ammonite Pavement And A Rock That Aroused Curiosity For Centuries!
Ойын-сауық
Let’s go fossil hunting along the Jurassic Coast. I am fossil hunting West of Lyme Regis today.I’m going fossil hunting along the Jurassic Coast at low tide. I’d like to see the ammonite pavement West Of Lyme Regis. This area is a protected site for everyone to see. I’m also going for a woodland walk to see a very curious rock! I recommend wearing safety glasses and sturdy rubber gloves when hammering the right little rocks on the beach at low tide. Fossil hunting really does take hours of patience and persistence. Remember the cliffs are dangerous and liable to fall suddenly and without warning. Keep away from the dangerous cliffs, the best fossils are washed out onto the beaches at low tide, by the sea's actions. Look out for the slippery seaweed on the ledges and rocks. I offer fossil walks along the Jurassic Coast on the following website, so feel free to take a look at the website I made, with our online fossil walks ------www.lymeregisfossilwalks.com There is a fossil collecting code of conduct in place along the Jurassic Coast. There are numerous fossil walk guides that will show you the right way to go about fossil collecting along the Jurassic Coast.

Thanks 🙏 very much Liam, we are very lucky 🍀 with all that surrounds us. It’s so great the Jurassic Coast is so unspoiled by building and left wild as it’s unstable with the landslides .
we loved that walk and the geology that you showed us👍😁...we certainly will visit the chimney on our next visit....(😬as long as we dont get lost and end up bumping into "Aaron" in the woods 😬😳😲🤦🤦♂🤣😂)

Hey 👋 thanks 🙏 very much and that’s interesting you saw the whole walk route with the footpath map. You won’t be to pushed walking West of Lyme Regis yourself to see it as you are walking fit ! It’s just the climb up the steps that are the challenge, but it’s a great elevation to see things from!
