The talent was already in place with Rosé,YG only needed to hone it. GD featured her in his song, only after 2 months as trainee! GD has long seen the power she holds. Plus she can play the piano and guitar (with both left or right strumming!), what a bonus for YG!

I heard that Rosé has a book dedicated to music , Jennie too in which the compse / produce stuff , Lisa and Jennie writing their raps in Stay , Jisoo with the Korean lyrics of Clarity and her Helium song ( JK 😁) . All these r signs that BP has the potential to write the lyrics if not produce their own music. But YG never wants their GG's to be great anyways ( no hate to their BG's , I'm just comparing the way SM-JYP promote their GG's to the way YG promotes their GG's) if only BP had a CEO like JYP ( who would give his BG's proper promotions too) , then they might have been the most talented GG ( as a 4 member group). Comparing their predebut selves to their present selves makes my heart ache. YG wasted such a gem. Hopefully the new CEO will make things right and not be a puppet of YG.

Yeah, if you see her pre debut pictures they give a badass vibe, like everyone thought she was going to be the rapper, but she didn't because rumors are, is that YG is forcing her to display a cute image. Lisa was already so popular even back when she was in school and we zaa cool she's seriously a born performer with so much experience and stability ❤

Many were dropped on YGs "Pinkpunk" concept group. 4 strong remained. They have to do evaluations every week or month (not sure) with three different performance: Dance, Solo, Group... The ladies endured all of this for many years. Lisa also need to cope up with the language barrier. Rosé adjusted to Korean environment. Jisoo was pushed off to acting dept. but on later on brought back to idol dept. Jennie was losing hope due to many times their debut held off. They had their own stories to tell. They did not sit there and YG told they'll debut. The girls suffered for many years. I really don't like people making their journey's irrelevant. You have to know YHS on cam is the subtle one. Without cameras, trainees endured criticism from him 10x. That's why I appeal to others, if don't like blackpink shut up and don't discredit them for their hardwork.

Its not like the other were worse or bp were better but YG changed their concept ‚the last minute‘ from 9 to 4, so they looked which voice do harmonized the most. The others weren‘t less good then them. I read a lot of post from the girls from pinkpunk. Now a lot are deleted.

Rosé’s voice in the beginning was so natural

YG hid Rosé until debut to avoid pirating/company hopping. . other 3 have fans already even before debuting, but Rosé just established hers after debut. . and up until now she’s still in the process of proving herself, but because of her talent and visual, this very classy girl captured our hearts ♥️

@@candz552 I'm a fan pre debut but, we were so little compare to the haters, specially for Jennie. Man, I remember how much hate she received in her trainee videos specially when people knew Euna was out they were all blaming Jennie like it was her fault and comparing to her. I always felt bad for Jennie but looking at her teasers now, I cant believe how full of love the coments are. Also, altho they didnt reléase Rose's name, we already were speculating it was her from the 7~9 trainee, plus her pictures and korean name were around, so because of her voice people liked her. I would say the most famous one was probably Euna and after she left it was Lisa, the most hated one was Jennie. For me was a pitty not see Miyeon debut with them, specially because they debuted 1 year after she left but I'm glad she is doing well now. Anyways, long story short as a predebut fan, it was a roller coaster but I'm happy they are doing so well now! I also went to their first concert in Seoul and I felt like a proud mom of these 4💕

Also the reason why they had a small dan base waiting for them was because yg trolled us since 2011 with their debut, they realeased info bit by bit, saying they would debut as next SNSD with 2ne1 vibes, they would do a survival, etc. They had korean fans who were getting info irl and we would know almost all the trainee by the time. Altho you guys think Rose didnt have because she wasnt promotor more, she also had her little small fanbase too as I mentioned before. She probably was more blessed for not having haters tbh lol

Rosé was never promoted like the other girls, that's why she's underrated. She only got group promotions..Back in 2019 she had no solo ad ( never had actually ) and wasn't the brand ambassador of any brand like :- 1. Lisa is for Celine, Mac cosmetics, bulgari 2. Jisoo is for Dior and Burberry 3. Jennie is for Chanel, Calvin Klein and hera 4.Rosé...... ( they haven't even Release her solo yet ) but thanks to the new CEO she became the brand ambassador of YSL Saint Laurent. Rosé deserves much more. I wish Rosé was an international artist or could become one in the future Edit : At the beginning of the year 2019 , Zara wanted to take Rosé as brand ambassador but yg refused

I think that Jisoo is underappreciated. This girl is extremely talented and beautiful yet I think YG is wasting her potential. I could only say that she needs a confidence boost because she seems much more shy and needs to show more sass and claws. But I'm really hoping she gets once the chance to shine on her own, like really hear her singing live in Sure Thing, she could easily rock also less mainstream genres, like jazz, soul. I'm keeping my fingers crossed for her. Rosie did a huge progress and found her own spot in the group and shines equally like Lisa or Jennie

For those confused as to why Rose was the "mystery" member who didn't have any teasers predebut, it was because she wasn't an original Pink Punk member and was added later on. Pink Punk as the rumors said were originally 9 members or less and set to debut in late 2012 (with eun bi, jennie, lisa, and jisoo as confirmed members). the debut got delayed and around this time Pink Punk became a project again and when Rose joined YG like mid 2012, she got added which was basically shortly after since the debut never went through. I have been around since early 2012 when there were rumors of a debut so i hope this makes sense.

Crazy. She's unconfirm member duh. It just that yg hide her on public but the ex trainee post about bp during trainee days and "because of rosé oustanding talent she already put in yg new girl group line up" every video about pinkpunk rosé is unconfirm because she's a new trainee.

The lesson here is that you don't need to undergo in a survival show just to gather fans. The way BLACKPINK gather fans are effortless, new people, new blinks coming right at them everyday

Agreed! I hate people think that Blackpink member get things easily just because they never went through survival show. They went through real life survival for 4-6 years at least. Those just never been captured in cameras.

Blackpink has so much potential idk why they're not showing the full blow of it. Jennie can rap, rose can sing, lisa can dance, jisoo can act. Jennie and rose can help compose their own songs while lisa can do the choreos and help compose the raps alongside jennie. Jisoo in the other hand can manage their mv's concepts. They'd do absolutely amazing if their company would allow them to use their full potential with their talents..

This is why I adore blackpink, Jennie, Jisoo, Lisa, Rosé these girls went through so much, and YG held them back for so long and yet they still managed to shine bright. kiarav kaye molina delivery is a small fraction of rapping. Most rap fans care about the lyrics themselves, that’s the time to blow fans expectations with their talented lyricism, breathing isn’t really difficult, no different than playing and instrument

They have become my favorites ever since the old days. I think it’s safe to say that Blackpink has truly become the revolution. They’ve also had it very hard while training the slightest mistake and they would’ve been out but for 4-6 years of training and having a goal they were truly able to shine! I think blackpink has become the top kpop girl group of the 3rd Generation of kpop.
