I really like your channel, you guys look like you have a lot of fun. I am 59 now, but when I was in my 20's I had a rail buggy I built out of a rail frame kit and bought an old VW for the engine and front steering and it was a blast. So recently I bought an older HammerHead go-kart that only had about twenty hours run time on it, but had sat for 5 years. I wanted something for a little fun and for my grandkids. I only paid $100.00 for it and thought I would make it my summer project. All the steering seals and tires are dry rotted and back axle is frozen, but I will take it apart and clean everything well and replace what needs replacing. Watching your channel is what got me excited, so thank you. Stay safe and keep having fun.

my husband & I loved this video of the NEW 670cc Predator engine. We just recently acquired a MINI MONSTER TRUCK GO KART w/212cc Predator engine & it's speed is ok, but I think we're gonna try your CHANGING THE SPRING for the governor to see if we can get it to go a lil faster. The 670cc engine is BAD TO THE BONE & not a bad price either. Thanks for sharing

Hey Greg, My son & I installed that manual clutch yesterday, all thats left to complete the job is routing and connecting the cable. We had to torch 1/2 half of a 1" round tube away to allow enough room for clearance for the chain. Other than that, after watching YOUR insulation video of the clutch, it was a smooth install. We ent to the site for the clutch and it was down for, I guess maintenance , but I told my son " I would rather follow RBG'S install instructions anyway . Anyway a huge ATTA BOY & Thumbs up to Greg & RBG'S channel for the go kart hobbyists needs.

On the governing arm there are different spots to connect the bigger spring on the governing arm and the farther back you put it the more the governor holds out , you can do this on a stock 212 and make it go to 5000 rpm stock

I'm just getting into small engine stuff this summer. you have really taught me a lot. before i had the minibikes that i do, i didn't even know what piston rings were. with a lot of dedication and a slew of red beard videos I'm now looking for the right engine to put a big bore kit on to fit my minibike. looking at 200cc honda 4 speeds but its difficult with a 1970s frame. I've learned everything from gear ratios to the difference between a tav and a transmission (started researching how they work too). a lot of it has to do with you. I still consider myself an amateur, but this comment was just to thank you for putting what you know out there.

i think puting a manual clutch and a 3speed trans with reverse would make that that just scream on and off road

I’ve been brainstorming ideas on a pulling tractor build. I’d like to take the transaxle out and do a solid axle with a sprocket but would like to know if that clutch set up is good under stress or not.

I like it, i think with some bigger tires it would change it enough you wouldn't have to change the gearing. The 670 is awesome i just don't like the price of it. Can't wait to see it done.

Red Beard's Garage when are we gonna get a how to video on fixing the steering? I have a spider box and would like to be able to run it in the woods, But.... without reverse or a half-decent turning radious its better off sitting in the yard.
