@@ericbaldemor8307 No you're not. I like the movie but I could never see Danny Glover as the main opponent to the predator. He simply doesn't command the physical presence like Arnold did. Arnolds strength was one of the things that made it so impressive when the Predator slapped him around like a little girl. I still see Murtaugh when I look at Glover in this movie. I would have liked to see someone else cast.

Rasmus Jørgensen when you consider the strength of a predator.... Arnold’s muscles in canon aren’t doing much to help him. The main similarities between Harriman and Dutch is their will and perseverance. Having some extra muscles doesn’t make a difference when getting slapped around. I will say this, Harrigan wasn’t going up against a veteran predator, not a slouch but the jungle predator was a fucking beast that could fuck up a special forces squad . He knew when to stay and fight and when to book it. Only losing because of their honor system.

@@pain2573 that and the fact that Jungle hunter was an elite or at least blooded Warrior while city hunter is a young unblooded Warrior, jungle hunter was un par with an special forces, if city hunter was as experienced Harrigan wouldn't have stand a chance.

No CGI here not one single thing. It’s all practical effects. Great movie and worthy sequel.

It was a good movie but I wouldn’t say it’s a worthy sequel to the original tbh. The original with Annie was an 80s action masterpiece, arguably one of the best action/suspense movies ever made.

The OWLF got their hands on it, and used carbon dating of the bones and elasticity tests of the skin to determine that the City Hunter was over 300 years old and in late adolescence, suggesting that the Yautja was hunting in Los Angeles as part of his initiation as a full warrior of his Clan.

Something I always found fascinating is how the City Hunter doesn't seem like he's adjusted to Earth's Atmosphere yet, so he has to use a rebreather to get proper breaths. Which makes sense when we know from EU material that this is his first hunt off world. My theory is that the Yautja's planet also has an oxygen rich atmosphere, but way more oxygen then Earth has in the modern era. Plus, add in the fact this is LA with all it's smog and air pollution and it makes sense why the Predator is struggling to breath.

Harrigan is more relatable in Predator 2 than Dutch from the first movie. I think that's why alot of folks like these fight sequences more than the first. Harrigan dodges a spear, takes a projectile to the chest, and fights the Yautja with one of its own weapons( the disc) and holds his own.

Yep. He arrived too late to catch all the fun, but he did manage to show up for the cleanup, where he met Sean Keyes, Peter Keyes’ son who arranged for Dutch to get funding and anonymity for a team he was getting together, in exchange for the OWLF getting the tech and corpses that Dutch and his people were able to scavenge.

Keys’s Son from The Predator found the spear, mask, broken plasma cannon, and City Hunter’s severed arm after the movie. Upon finding the arm he was met by Dutch who tried to get to L.A. as soon as possible when he heard of a predator hunting in the city. This is canon from Predator: Hunting Grounds.

One thing is a bit illogical that predator being so heavy and bulky and enough strength to rip of human body is single handedly hanging on the single arm of Harrigan, so ideally Harrigan's arm should have been ripped off from his body by the weight of predator.

The dude got pumped with 10 shot gun blasts at point blank and got his arm chopped off. I'd imagine in his situation he knew he wasn't going to live that much longer. He was able to cauterize his wounds right after this. The reason why he survived that huge fall cause the pipe broke his fall since he was able to hang from it with his one arm, not like he dropped all the way from the roof down.

🙂How do we know what the predator weighs?.... Their blood, muscle and bone density could very easily be much different humans (lighter but still stronger than ours)... Think back to the scene in this movie where detective harrigan finds the alien speartip and takes it to a scientist/forensics officer... So she scans/examines it and says " this material (metal) does not register on our periodic table and it has almost no weight, where did you find this ???? " And Detective Harrigan replied to her " yeah but it cuts like steel through ANYTHING "..... Remember we are talking about an alien...lol

Ain't nobody's gonna ignore the fact that Harrigan's as Badass and tough as any other Predator protagonists in the franchise! Although he's no soldier or highly trained spec ops member, but he's just as deadly as Dutch or Royce in some instance. The difference is, he's the Urban street level type of tough ass LA cop that no one should ever mess with! Danny Glover is Lt. Harrigan!! PS, I'm like Harrigan, afraid of heights! 😂😂

They should have shown that his arm was broken and dislocated as well. I think they did have him fight with one arm though. I'm am very glad that Arnold didn't take this job playing Busey's role. Although It would have given much more credibility, It would have robbed him in some way, but hey, he hasn't been in any of the new ones at all so... Movie is still a top classic having a rate of 84. Looking at it, you see a few things that should have been done better, but CAN be negligible enough that doesn't break the movie.

He cut the detonator in half with blade preventing it to explode on the countdown.

@@patheticlover7730 it's not really a bomb made by humans. It's really likely that it works just like that thanks to the different tecnology.
