A human who has managed to kill a Predator in single combat or has fought alongside one is usually spared by the deceased hunter's comrades of his kind and given a gift (often a rare or exotic weapon) as a sign of respect.

Worthy game must fill the following criteria: Can defend itself and/or is able to kill the hunter himself, of age (killing children and the elderly is considered highly dishonorable), not linked to other lives (so that removing the prey will not doom another, e.g. pregnant women), and not weakened by diseases.

If you look closely at the Predator wall, you can see a bunch of skulls that it's collected you can see the Alien's head or the Xenomorph head mounted on the wall. If you look closely enough.

Cool reaction Dude! One thing I don't completely understand about the Yautja honor code is given that they avoid killing, Children, beings with growing fetus in womb, and those w/ health issues. Except in self-defense. Cool! How do those relate to the no capture/ self destruct rule. It seems like blowing oneself ul w/ nuclear bomb wrist gauntlet would might take out elderly, children et cetera. Unless it's something rather bizarre like, "because there aren't any children, infirm beings around me, ( or I don't see them), I can destroy myself w/ the nuke." If so, I don't quite understand the reasoning. What are thoughts from others on here who know the lore?

Hey, just to help you out (although I don't consider myself some _huuuge_ loremaster here, haha). I always thought that was a semi-safety precaution so that their "prey" doesn't get a hold of their advanced tech ; in such instances, it outweighs any other personal decision and/or conduct during that particular hunt. And after all, they are aliens so their overall morality or mentality is very different from ours, even if understandable sometimes.

@@mariopenavic8573 that's a good point you put forth! I know in some of the other movies mainly this one and the Predator w/ Olivia Munn but more the books hint at murky government groups working w/ Weyland-Yutani to get their tech. Makes sense Yautja would want to protect tech! Thx!

the avp franchise had been a thing since the 80’s with comics, books and video games since they were owned by the same studio. the actual movie came last and was highly anticipated.

Hey, Ryan! _Praising is my specialty!_ I knew your reaction would be just as awesome as the one for the previous film, haha! Especially in how you easily adjusted to the obvious differences between the two films. I was also young when I saw this on VHS so likewise surprised by the change in setting and style but I always thought it was a well made sequel and how it really stands well on its own. I'm not backing away now so: best jump scare, tied between the Predator surprising Leona in the subway or Harrigan being spooked by pigeons, haha! Which means the best line you said has to be, "Freaking birds!". Regarding the Predators overall behavior, as a culture completely devoted to hunting others, they actually do have a sort of code of conduct and honor (if alien and arbitrary sometimes from our perspective) much like an actual hunter would: so it makes sense it would not hurt a child (no honor in killing such weak prey) or a pregnant female (bad conduct to kill a potential for future prey). Likewise, only distinguished and worthy opponents would get the honor to have their spine and head removed as a trophy; funnily enough, this would imply King Willie put up a good fight to have his head chopped off and mounted on that wall! Speaking of, my recollection might be off, but I think the alien head on the trophy wall was indeed just a cool production add-on (maybe even an inside joke?) but then later the idea got traction so it got developed into its own film. Also, you mentioned you will go through both the franchises chronologically but, even though I am not averse to _Alien Vs Predator_ , I am looking forward to the 3rd entry, _Predators_ which really grew on me over the years.

I loved the new city location!! It was the last thing I was expecting, I thought maybe in space for this!! Haha the birds got me!!! Ahh that makes a lot of sense about the Predator's behaviour! And fair play to King Willie then haha! And no worries if the AVP things aren't your thing hopefully you enjoy Predators when I get there! Next up is the 4th Alien movie though!! 😁

@@RynooReacts It's been a long time since I have watched or even seen a reaction to AvP but all of your reactions I have seen so far were very enjoyable, so I have no doubt I will like it. Regarding _Alien: Resurrection_ ... ugh, it really is an odd film. No spoilers, but if the 1st was the scariest one, 2nd the most action oriented and 3rd the bleakest, respectively, the 4th imo is probably the most gross. Looking forward to it, haha! I will also definitely watch (again!) and comment to that Alien3 reaction asap. Cheers!
