Nitric acid neutrolize ?
I also mix hydrochloric and nitric acids in advance to get aqua regia. I noticed that it dissolves the gold faster this way 👌

Hello, the math doesn’t work? Either the original gold button was more pure to start with or the resultant button is not 24kt pure gold. The math: 2.2 grams x (21kt = .875) = 1.925g pure gold 2.2 / 2.12 = 0.9636 x 24kt = 23.21kt original pureness Something is incorrect with the math. Not complaining or anything.. just pointing out this fact. Enjoyed! Thanks much ✌️PT

Also with the math, it should have weighted 1.925g after. From my math it was at 23k before solution if all the purities came out.
