I would really like if SG made her an ER scaling dps it would give her more of an identity

That would be cool, but I think she’d be another debut hwa I’ve seen 350% builds on Elvira. A dps Elvira can already do decent numbers. If she scaled on er, which doesn’t have a cap iirc, she’d kill everything lol

Yes, that hero is weird. She's no good if she doesn't have the Prophetic Candlestick combo, since she doesn't do enough of anything else. And just denying Fighting Spirit is simply not enough. It is the same reason why Solitaria doesn't just deny Focus, she also does something else. It was also why Solitaria needed a buff back when she was first release, as denying only Focus didn't work.

I just built my BBK and it wasn't easy. I want to know the stats on that dude's BBK to get 20k HP and still have damage and ER at the same time.

Bruh ml aramintha looks and feels good to play, just wish she had something more to make her up to match with the meta.

I really hope that with the new "rebalance", they grant her power in other areas, her kicks look quite good, maybe make her an attack scaling unit that does not crit? (That way my old Hwayung gear has a place to go haha)

SG should really figure out wtf they wanna do with their game. my 50 cents: 1° nerfs need to happen, the state of the game rn is a showcase to what the "no ml5 nerf" policy does; 2° no refunds for nerfed units, honestly there should never have been refund for nerfs to begin with, SG fucked it up by allowing this community to become so entitled, nerfing a unit means that many other units should become more usable, the argument that people spend for that unit therefore they should get compensation can be dismissed with the fact that people also spend for the units being destroyed by the new unit, who should get refund? should people who pulled for yulha and taeyou also get refunds after hwa nerf?... really, this policy and balance logic is just not sustainable. which brings me to 3° point: 3° sg need to change their monetization plan, rn the reason why they keep releasing broken units is because their main monetization is new heroes, they need to create problems to sell the solution, this is unsustainable, the powercreep is extremely overwhelming and it's impossible for the balance team to keep up with it, skills become more and more bloated the longer the game goes to make sure new units "do what they must" but "don't do what they shouldn't", it's just a huge complicated mess caused by this type of monetization, i would be surprised if E7 can actually reach the 7 year mark at this rate.

Yea honestly, if they did nerfs but only smaller nerfs then I feel they shouldn't need to give a selector or anything. Something like removing 1 thing in their kit to lower their power a little at a time until they're not so stacked when compared to other units. Example would be how I'd always say they should remove the Skill Null from AOL (some might say the Stun Immunity which is also another option) etc. If you only lightly nerf the unit then I feel you don't need to give a selector. Only exceptions I have on it is if they nerfed a newer unit, like I can see if they nerfed Ayufine or ML Landy when they're so recent then I can see a selector but if they were to nerf an older unit that's been out long enough like Clilias then I feel its fine. With that said though, I do feel that anytime they do nerfs, even if small nerfs, I feel they should still allow you to recall the materials used at least like Molas and Catas since those are the ones that really hurt about a nerf if they didn't.

The refund for nerfs isn't necessarily a choice. Many countries have laws that require some form of compensation to be given out if you change something that people spent money on. Those laws literally exist to prevent gacha games from doing what they're doing with Elvira. You can't sell people X and then change it to Y without compensating the customers. That's called a bait and switch. It was very common in early gacha games to release something extremely broken and then nerf it immediately after they raked in all the money. So laws were made to prevent that. Even if only a few countries have said laws, it means that they must refund those people or offer an equivalent compensation. If they don't they are open to thousands of lawsuits. Then if they only refund the countries with those laws, everyone else is going to be pissed. Making compensation basically mandatory.

@@Loserstakethebait Beat me to it. It's basically false advertisement. Sure some people knew Elvira was getting changed really fast but not everyone. They should've stopped her banner immediately or made it clear in game she was getting changed but nah it was only on their site. Imagine you drop $300 to summon her as shes advertised not knowing the next day shes getting entirely changed. Just to be clear my message is for the op, i'm just adding on to what you stated

@@Loserstakethebait That's true for the Elvira situation but when it comes to doing nerfs for older units, I dont feel it's a problem to not give a selector or any kind of refund for it. Like if they randomly decide to nerf Conq Lilias tomorrow, she has been out for way long enough that it shouldn't be bait & switch or anything. Though I guess that could also depend on if she had a Mystic Banner rerun at some point recently since I guess if they got a rerun and then changed it prob would count for it as well, even if its an older unit getting a rerun. I'm just saying nerfs in gacha games are still a thing that happens in other games as well and I don't know if they do full refunds or selectors in those games...which personally might be why those games balance is better since they're not afraid to nerf units like SG is. But yea the Elvira situation I 100% agree with them being a refund/selector. I think we only getting a selector but they really should do a full refund of BMs/SS instead of a selector personally.

@@DarkrulerjoeGaming Alright. Then yeah, if we're talking about nerfing a unit that's extremely oppressive and has been out for 8+ months, then I mostly agree. It shouldn't always require compensation. The only issue is the way the devs have handled nerfs in the past. If they nerf a unit Hwayung style and completely destroy them, then compensation is necessary. If it's just a small tweek here and there to make them more fair, then that's all fine and good. The problem is that besides Elvira, who's fix is actually really good. Their track record is just so bad lol. People just assume it's gonna be awful and they're kinda justified in thinking that way. I wish the devs would put a bit more effort into these buffs and nerfs overall.
