I can really relate on the struggles of wearing a mask. It feels sooooo good when you walk outside and can take it off 💜

You two deserve this trip more than anyone I can think of! I like that Oliver is on a vacation from his job - he is the MOST dedicated worker! He deserves an Employee of the Month award :)

Thanks for covering this. People don't realize how much planning goes into traveling when you're chronically ill. I'm going to Mexico in late summer, and it's the first time I've traveled internationally since my diagnosis in 2003. I've got to deal with oxygen, meds, extra extension cords, etc. Plus, worries about forced gate checking my carry-ons. I can't sleep on the plane without my oxygen, so I can't allow it to be checked. Have an absolutely amazing time. You guys deserve this!

Frida Writes I'm aware, but many airlines are force checking bags and only allowing you to keep your O2 unit and your meds. I know that if I plan to use it in flight that I have to have a window seat. My unit is a portable condenser (makes it's own), and has no oxygen canisters they can force it to be checked. They can refuse to allow it in cabin. I have been told there is a minimum inflight time rule which allows me to keep it if it's over a certain time in the air.

Alisa R. aka Vampfaye i don't know about medical equipment but I found that checking in early and getting to the gate early helps to keep your cabin luggage with you. Also keep other bags on yourself to a minimum. I would totally give up my cabin luggage for someone who has medical needs to keep his.

I'd forgotten that some airlines are now making everyone check basically everything--I would be alarmed/stressed in advance too! I sincerely hope that you end up with a great and accommodating crew.

Gramme B I am happy that I'm going, but it's not for a pleasure trip. I think I'm rightly allowed to be stressed out for going on an international trip, where there will be issues with meds that I might need to take and other things that you've got no idea of.

Mary you are so lucky to have someone like Peter. He takes very good care of you. Bless you Peter.

I'm so not gonna lie, I live in Nashville which is 8 hours away from Orlando and I (very quickly) debated driving the 8 hours to come out and see you guys lol but I would literally be dead by the time I got there and you guys would be done with the meet and greet 😞 but I hope and pray that one day I will get to finally meet you guys and thank you in person for renewing my faith in God and helping me change my way of thinking about my own chronic illnesses ❤ have a great time tonight!!!

The footage in this vlog is absolutely beautiful! Also- I completely understand getting the "looks" at the airport with the masks. When I went on my make a wish trip, people would see my mask and move away. Doesn't bother me because I got extra plug outlets while waiting for my flight because everyone moved LOL! 😂

I get the whole elevator to myself sometimes! It's funny that often people will move away from me but still pet my dog--because he carries any germs I do.

i have the mask!! (: i love u guys, i have cf also, im 15 and on the double lung transplant list u guys are amazing! have fun and do whatever u can because everyday is a gift and go live ur dreams because we never no whats gonna happen in a blink of an eye. again i love u guys stay safe

Thanks for sharing y'all! I loved the checklist you ran through, I have to do that for type 1 diabetes supplies, anxiety medication and joint braces. Loved watching your journey through the airport, that part got me excited to travel through airports at the tail end of May for a wedding!

It is simply lovely to see you both so excited, relaxed and happy.

Yay enjoy your trip!! I go through a very similar list, especially making sure I have enough meds for the trip. Mary, you cracked me up when you were talking about the snow and then Peter's flavor response caused my ribs to hurt.

I'm so excited for you guys to be able to do this for a good get away. my health came on really sudden 3 years ago. so the medical bills started coming in so we didn't get the chance to get a one last trip. hopefully my health can get stable again and my financial situation get better for a trip to somewhere to get away for a while. I just love whiching your adventures dispite all the health that you have to think about while your adventure continue. I love it!! you guys are so strong and inspiring with eachother. such a great couple!!

yes, I know I'm a tad late watching the blogs..but I've been spending my days in the hospital with my husband..who has heart failure ..but as I'm watching this its only 15° but feels like -1.. thanks Michigan !!! Really wish I could be somewhere warm .. we had beautiful weather a few weeks ago..and now its back to freezing .. oh well I guess that's what we get for having hardly NO SNOW this year (less than 1 1/2) so it wasn't to horrible of a winter..

I have EDS and am on the down slide of it. I lost my ability to travel a long time ago. Do this as many times as you can before it's to late. No disease nor illness can take away memories you two make and you can look back on them when it gets really bad.

I understand the long checklist... Both my youngest nephews have severe medical issues, and there's always a crap-ton of medicines and medical supplies to prepare and pack when they go ANYwhere.

SO lovely! And I hope you'll get some footage from the meet-up. I'll be there in spirit from thousands of earth miles away!!! :-)

I can only be in a car/bus for more than 2 hours without getting sick. luckily my friends are all going to do all they can to help me. the guy I like asked me to sit with him bc his mom's a doctor.
