Now this is a beefy tank build.

I was bracing for that first lightning hit... and it never came. Stunning it was interesting, would like to know if there is a reliable way to do that.

If there is a way to officially stun them it would make them a whole lot easier.

My squad mates noticed early on that applying a lot of damage (at least to their face) right as they're about to lightning (during the scream I believe) will make them stop. They were using guardian shotguns for it, but apparently the pre-engineered AX-MCs + beam laser can also apply enough damage for this

They sound like the Trex from jurassic park

That place reminds me of the nebula missions in Freespace 2

I've heard they do around 10% more damage. However the autoloader means you don't reload and can sustain fire for longer.

Nice. Love the T-10 fully engineered but I don't fight thargoids. I would of died there 😆

@@cmdr----whirlwind---- I use a T-10 a lot. Pretty much fully engineered other than non combat related modules. I use frag cannons a lot. T-10 does well agaisnt thargoids it seems as thats what it is designed for. Mainly NPC combat or Pvp in a wing/squad.

@@Lobs79 It was designed for thargoids however its size and speed makes it a less viable choice. It also seems to be designed for turrets.

@@cmdr----whirlwind---- yeah, definitely designed for turrets. I never use turrtes tbough. You can use left side as a cluster of weapons and same with the right. Can sometime use fixed in that configuration too. I generally use frags at the top and something else underneath, generally for ranged attacks. Better ships than the T-10 out there for combat but I don't care too much about that. Awesome canopy, made for headtracking. Better still, VR.

Common wisdom says that shields aren't very effective against Thargoids. That it's better to replace the shield generator by a (fully engineered) hull reinforcement package. That will offer significantly more protection and will last much longer than any shield generator.

The only things I use this for are killing cyclops at most or in wings. Others exert and I’ll do the hearts. Due to the ship being slow and not agile having a shield will stop most damage going to my hull and as I mentioned before unless I’m in a wing I’ll only go for cyclops and below.

@@cmdr----whirlwind---- I actually like the fact that there is now a parallel universe, a way to travel back in time. I haven't been playing the live version recently because the performance and the graphics are both trash (at least on my computer)

Guardian module reinforcement prevents random modules from shutting down and you can get anti anti-guardian field as a modification from ram tah

These weapons are only useful on cyclops, scouts, and hunters. The weapons don't have enough armour piercing to be effective on Basilisk and higher.

Can you take down an interceptor with this build ?

I've killed multiple Cyclops However the lack of armour piercing makes exertion on any higher class harder.

So basically theres no way to fight those things without engineerd and seriously ground ships?

You can fight the without engineering. You just need to be way more careful and skilful
