This meditation is meant to be used in any state (active or meditative) whether sitting, moving, swaying or dancing. Culturally some of the references may not be familiar, but if you breath deeply, listen with an inner ear, take it in and allow your higher mind to connect, you will begin to feel the essence of it. Oshun is a very vast and profound Spirit. She has gained popularity and many of her attributes have either been drizzled down to the mundane or misrepresented. A little bit about Mama Oshun... "Ore-Yeye-o! Oshun the fertility goddess, transforms through water and through the “blue canal,” the mystery of birth. Oshun, from the word Orishun “The Source.” Oshun is the embodiment of women’s mystical power, the real power in Yoruba cosmology. The ability to control physical and spiritual forces, to create life through procreation, and the sustenance of life, soothing healer, bestower of wealth."

Oshun i though about you often my higher mother your awsome and amazing i saw your daa holding you i saw what you ate as a child you father hold you he had on fur but it smelled to me but it was a good smell of honor you ate a sweet type of like oramge mush with a like wrap or plant with your fingers the vision was awsome

@cherryburgindy question after we give our food offering to oshun after prayer what do we do? Are we allowed to eat the fruit or honey?

Once offered most people do not eat the offering. Most people take it to the river after 5 or so days. Or leave it in another part of nature.

Thank you!! Water is her domain for sure. However, it's usually an ancestral spirit that was a priest/ess of the Orisha Oshun that comes to folks who are non-initiated. But Spirit can work in ways that don't fit our understanding.
