Practicing FRONTSIDE 180s

Тәжірибелік нұсқаулар және стиль

Today i'm covering the frontside 180, mainly because I feel obligated. I've covered most flip tricks but tend to skip the bare basics lot.

This tutorial was one of the best ones. could you make a one with a backside 180? I know you made a tutorial about this and i can do them, but they're not that good. i would appreciate it if you can make a 'Practicing Backside 180s' Thanks again!!!

For real, I want this too. I've been doing FS 180's for years, but never knew to hang the toe. You have a way of showing shit that others don't, dude. Straight up.

Good simple tutorial. When I always learning them my front foot kept falling off behind the board or I’d land on my toes. My friend said to hang my toes off before I ollied. It felt really weird? But it definitely works. Can you do a bs 180 tutorial? I cannot keep the board with me for that one.

@@sorodeo4586 idk if you have them yet but if you can’t scoop them while having both feet on the board try lifting your front foot up a bit earlier than your back foot and the tail will start going down, after that just do the same scoop as if you only had your back foot on while making sure your body is above the board

In mid air, try to keep most of your weight on the front foot (weight distribution is about 65% on front foot, Other 35% on back foot), then focus on bringing the back foot around to complete the rotation. Also try the trick at higher speeds, for some reason this will help with the rotation and the pivot if you need it, probably because you are rotating with your momentum instead of fighting it, like a bs 180.

They are easier to land faster, for some reason. A friend told me to go faster and I would land it. He was right. But it’s definitely scarier. Luckily the fall isn’t too bad for fs 180.

Is the pop like that of an ollie, where you pop straight down, but as you're popping your shoulders have already opened up to go frontside? Or is the pop more like a scoop as if you were going to do a frontside shove? I'm going to try and nail fs 180s, but unsure how I should practice em since I've seen em done both ways.

pick you back foot up and make sure your front foot is actually scraping the griptape, not just sitting there. when i first started learning them, my front foot wasnt doing anything and my back foot would just stay close to the ground. getting them higher is the same concept as an ollie, you gotta pick your feet up and get good contact with the griptape

I've been trying backside 180's forever! I saw your video and many others, but I just can't get them. If I focus on the rotation, I lose the board. If I i focus on the pop, I only rotate 90 degrees. It's driving me crazy! I can do backside 180's and 360's on a snowboard, but something is going wrong when I try any backside rotation on my skateboard.
