I like the idea of looking for "ticks" that demonstrate potential hazards. I have a problem with what I like to call "reverse-tilt", where I tend to overtrade when I'm having a really good day, sometimes resulting in giving back a chunk of profit. I need to focus on how that's constructed to better tame myself. Great interview, as always.

Yeah that's all trading is at least the psychological part. I love these psychological videos as they're a good reference to reflect on when you are on tilt. Or well reverse tilt. We are human after all.

I am at my 7th time listening to this episode / behind-scenes struggle and reality... after so many times listening I start to think that the more attention I pay into being more selective with certain aspects like ,,, what can trigger a diffrent flow of emotions the less I trade ....being selective trying to protect emotional slippage ... so actually knowing what bad habits can induce headache and frustration will help you constantly try to avoid those trigger scenarios. in other words, correct constant errors in your trading , erase them , to stand still into your mental A game. Thank you Aaron ...

I am one of those traders that consistently make profitable calls for others but when I trade on my own I consistently fail due to mental aspect of trading my own money. It's beyond frustrating... (Discord analyst for 2 years quit due to low pay.)

Trade small compared to the account n scale into a zone.....have no fear on your small starter position because u CAN be wrong...theres nothin wrong with planned averaging down into a level.

Hello; great content. BTW have you read the books The Big Short or Flash Boys by Michael Lewis ? if not, both are GREAT reads, highly recommended. One question If I might. I trade on MT4 and MT5, my "speed" shown at the connection icon ( bottom left side of my platform ) is around 260 ms. most of the time. My broker servers are in Japan, my Broker is in Australia. My question is, how "relevant" for us CFD´s ( FX, Commodities and Indices ) Traders is this "latencey", keeping in mind that banks, hedge funds and HFT´s trade at speeds of micro-seconds ( one millionth of a second ) ... love to hear your thoughts based on your trading experience and results. Thank you again for everything !!!

The mental game

I always seek confirmation after making a trade and I know I'm wasting my time doing it. Bad habits are hard to break.

Make it boring n monotonous.... be serious, focused n disciplined...your running a business...have excitment n fun on the weekend....trade like a robot. Auto mode . Your rules will trade for u, if u have discipline. No worries. No fear. Glta

Beginners need to know that a loss under your max loss amount per trade, is a good loss. It needs to be taken n a small cost to protect the rest of your position....pros sell losers quickly ....amateurs will always HOPE it reverses...which ultimately wipes them out. The 92%. GLTA!

i'm listening to his book wondering... if they guy knew how to trade.... why would he be selling books about mental games. something about his advice just doesn't sound like somebody who actually trades.
