Sophia Styves i am so sorry for your loss my grandpa died of brain cancer and I never got to meet him I wasn’t even born I wish that I could have met him my mom is always saying that I would have loved him and that he was the best o wish he was still here with us today but I guess that’s just how life is

Currently battling cancer myself, might have my sister play this at the memorial if it takes me out. EDIT: I'm okay everyone. I'm 4 months pregnant and in the process of starting treatment for the cancer!!! Update November 21st 2021: I had the cancer cut out but we're not sure if they got it all yet or not. I start radiation in January. UPDATE June 2024: I'm still kicking guys, still fighting cancer but now have advanced heart failure. I birthed a little boy and he's 3 years old now. Sorry for the delayed response, I hadn't been getting notifications about responses.

But beyond that it's a song telling you not to focus on the stuff that could be and to appreciate what has already happened and to appreciate the time you have with some one because you never know when they're not gonna wake up.

This song reminds me of one of my first relationships. I was 15/16 years old, and she was the first person who made me, well, feel. We were together for a year and a half, and then she moved states from the west coast to the east coast. We did our best with long distance for a month or two after that, and then she dropped off the face of the planet. A few weeks went by, and then I was messaged by her mother that she passed from an overdose... We used to listen to music like this together and have conversations just like this. Sometimes I get slammed by memories and it feels like I'm getting crushed for trying to keep moving forward

I came back here for nostalgia, my mom use to bond over this with my grandpa as soon as this song came out. Sadly he passed away and nobody has been the same. I was looking at old photos and this song started playing. Just that memory made me tear up. Never ever take people you love for advantage/granted. I had to learn that the hard way

February 15th I almost committed suicide the next day walking around the neighborhood trying to clear my head feel down almost lost my leg I spent 1 month in the hospital getting my mental and physical health good during this experience I became very emotionally and got really snappy at the people I loved the most I yelled at my sister my bestfriend over something small after we fought we couldn't be around me for 2 hours my cousin came over saw me and her in different rooms and picked me up put me on her lap she wrapped her arms around me pulling me close to her she kissed my cheek and started repeating all the stuff I said during our fight she knew I knew I needed her and she was always there for me to give me a hug during something bad or to motivate me to do I difficult she was also there to tell me when to quit and to make me tell her my game plan incase there was a bad move I was making when ever me and her did fight it wouldn't be long until we made up and we were friends again

I had a cousin named aubree, she died to cancer at a VERY young age, her parents NEVER treated her differently, she was an energetic, kind, funny, little kid. She died WAY to young, never got to get those memories. This song reminds me of her and the pain her family went through. I cant imaging going though something so bad, worse I have ever had is watching my animals die in my house as it burnt to the ground. That pales in comparison compared to what they went through. I love you aubree, I hope I get to see you in heaven 💔

No what hurts the most is when you've made memories with the person you love and they forget those memories and they just forget about you but you remember and you always look at them and wonder do they remember me or did they just not care about me anymore and you wonder if you did something wrong and you can't figure it out and it boggles your mind every single day and you can never figure out why they're ignoring you and it hurts so bad

When listening to this song, I don’t know why but it just reminds me of so many memories when I was younger. But it reminds me so much of other people I love and how I don’t like getting out of bed.

For some reason this song seems so calming to me.

🤣😂 I did the same, my daughter and her friend were out swimming in the pool last night, I walked out and this song was playing, i said "oh, i love this song! I dont have a clue what it's about because I have only heard it like twice, havent heard the lyrics yet" they told me it's about him dying, i was like "WHHAAAT??! WHY? What happened?!" this song really hurts for me. In March when corona started my mum was diagnosed with cancer and she was really sick, when she went to the hospital we couldn’t even visit her, the only person who could was her friend who was driving her there and hopefully home so we could only video call her when she was awake, she hadn’t told us that she had anything wrong but I just knew and it hurt so much being quiet. I never had a chance to talk to anyone about it. The time she was in hospital was when I listened to this and it still makes me feel just as sad and the exact same way I felt during those days

thanks for kind comments everyone she made a full recovery. I took care of her for abt 3 months, I set timers to make sure she had all of her different medications, I cooked and did the dishes, the shopping, got myself to school, the fact she stayed is what kept me going. nothing was easy and it taught me to take care of myself and others and that you need to start being grateful and appreciate the time you have with people before it’s too late

So many people in my life died this year. This song combined with these thoughts makes me want to cry, but I physically can’t anymore, and I’m left with no tears, but only pain. I know most of you have experienced the same things, but to the ones that haven’t, cherish all the time you have, because you are going to lose those people someday.
