POWERSTROKE POWERED LOGGING TRUCK HAULING 25,000LBS

Автокөліктер мен көлік құралдары

I needed to convert my 2017 Ford F-550 into a Logging truck with my 30'foot gooseneck trailer to haul some huge trees to the wood mill after clearing from site.

    Dude. Great pull. nice smooth tow. Delete Tune and pipe it. You’d be able to fill that trailer 6ft high w logs. Easy. Ford has hidden to much power under that EGR bullshit. Let it breathe.

    Lol “apparently I don’t know what hills are in Nova Scotia” 😁good 1 👍 but man you can definitely still have super steep hills in a lower elevation state or continent!!

    L W lol apparently not. In my experience it doesn’t matter how long a hill is if the grade is consistent the truck will pick a gear and stick with it.

    I am originally from the Valley in NS and I have a sister on Big Tancook Island, and a brother in Dartmouth. I live in Southern Arizona where we have mountains at 9600’ (2900m) all around us. However, unless you’re driving up the side of the mountain, it’s the same here as it is there. Especially up the side of the North and South Mountains in the Valley. We are about to buy (when we find one) a F-350 DRW Dually to tow our 5th wheel. Great videos!

    Awesome job! Have noticed in a few of your videos the quick links you have on truck tow hitches for your safety chains to mount to. My new 2500 Silverado’s factory hitch can be very tricky to hook up certain safety chains. I have fought a couple different trailers trying to get the chains hooked up into the trucks receiver. Please let me know what you’re using? They look like D loops or some type of tractor link. I have seen them on all your trucks when I happen to catch a glimpse of the receiver. And do you use them with the heavy duty trailers safety chains? Thanks and keep up the good work!

    WeGoOutdoors Hey buddy yeah the new trucks are very tough to get chains hooked. They are just heavy shackles.

  • @WeGoOutdoors

    @WeGoOutdoors

    Awesome thanks!! You are fast my! What size shackles are you running? My biggest trailer is running 5/16” safety chains and Clevis hooks. It seems like I could still get the 5/16” hook onto a larger than 5/16” diameter shackle. Just curious about size and what poundage rating you are using? And where do you get yours? Only local place is tractor supply or I can buy online. Any further info is appreciated.
