I love the variety of cars in the ARA. Such an interesting format with cars and teams you can really identify with and support. Great to see 👍😎

My brother John Nagel started this rally. It took me years after his death to return to Olympus. I love it Rallying is part of me. I won't miss it again. I knew Ken when I was younger and his memory brought me here. I also wanted to meet Leia.

@@christinegardner3630Amazing what John was able to accomplish. Getting Olympus onto the WRC calendar for three years and having the whole Olympia community and a major manufacturer backing the event. I took the pictures of John handing the trophy to Hannu at the finish ramp of ‘85 Olympus you see on the Olympus site.

I was at the Sunday Parc Expose with my kids, saw them interview Brandon Semenuk from 5 feet away. Great day with my kids, best excuse ever to take out the project car!

Red arrow mark is to stop the car in a convenient position when the air valve on the wheel is close to the ground, basically driver looks in the mirror and stops when the arrow is down, so the co driver can easily deal with tire procedures. I guess.

This Subaru WRX car is not a WRC 2 car but a WRC 1 with a lot bigger engine! This is 2.3-liter engine while the WRC 1 has 1.3-liter engine and the older WRC 2 1.6-liter engines. What it works against this car for next year is that has larger body/cell, but it has been highly modified, so it is a lot lighter and "stronger." Also, you have a very good driver on board with a lot of ...testing!!! So, the rest of the guys, unfortunately does not have a chance to win an ARA rally, except if the 'big boys" ditch it! The most positive of all is Travis will be competing next year, so they will be at least more competition among the Subaru Rally Team and a chance for both of the drivers to make mistakes! Cheers!

Thanks for doing something for US rallying- but sadly with the passing of Ken Block and the exit of Pastrana it will be an even more niche sport in the USA.

'Recce' short for reconnaissance, is where competing drivers and co-drivers will drive the stages of the rally (at a certain speed limit, much slower than the speed during the rally) before the rally starts, to make/adjust their pace notes and get a general feeling for stage conditions etc.

"Long Live WRC", oh that dying championship with 2 and a half manufacturers and 7, maybe 10 cars in the top class, where manufacturers are more focused on the lower class than the top class, and with a media team so inept and unprofessional, they posted a video where Ott Tanak was listed as Gambian? Please stop pretending the WRC is relevant. It's not the 90s or even the mid 2000s any more. I was a lifelong WRC fan and saw it reduced from a premier motorsport to a sideshow that can't even afford to have full car launches and has to piggyback off other motorshows. This is a great national level championship. Amateurs, semi pros and pro drivers all on near equal footing. It's amateurish but at least it's pure, and people actually show up
