So I have the NEXT and had fit issues with wider feet. The recall liner was the issue. Swapped it out for a MyFit 2nd skin and they are comfy now!!! Please test with your Swell 3x125 frames please!!!???

It's surprising for your highly recommendaction yet not a paid ad. Anyway your review gave confidence on trying, I chose 2 sizes up with rather wide feet. It ended up well, without liners the boot was exactly two sizes too long but the width was comfortable. With liners, it seemed alright lengthwise, not bad at all. In fact by comparing with my old skates (one size up and just fine sideways), both boots' outside measured the same(head-to-toe). Heard lots of goodness on Trinity and bad things on Next's narrowness, hearing satisfaction from someone not associated or linked was very helpful, thanks.👍

Lawrence, Powerslide offers now a Trinity 3x110 frame with a lenght of a 4x90 setup which is 270mm.

U convinced me to treat myself foe the birthday they look good and cosy

I have the powerslide imperials and I’m wondering what’s your opinion on those boots vs the next boots as the imperial is not a trinity mount I assume it’s gonna be a worse frame because of the higher ride height and less points of contact

I'm very curious as well if you prefer the 90 over 110 or 125. A lot of people say they don't feel like they lose maneuverability with 110 due to how amazing the Trinity is.

I'm glad these worked out for you! I think it is my wider feet that made these unworkable for myself. I'd love to get your opinion on the control and responsiveness on the Next compared to to the Rollerblade Twister or FR FR1-2. While the Next does have the three mounting points the receptors themselves are actually designed to move so that you can angle the frames with a three point mounting. The Twiser and FR1-2 both have embedded metal plates which I feel actually provide a more secure/responsive attachment to the boot even though they only use two points for mounting.

Yeah, wider feet aren’t going to work. These felt narrow as my m12. I hope to get some Twisters soon to give them a try. I haven’t tried any of the FR skates either. Plenty out there to review.

yeah.. mine were waay too tight. thought i would risk it and try and break them in, but just ended up with unbearable pressure points. pretty much put them straight on ebay. i could have maybe got a thinner liner, but thought they were too unsupportive for 125mm anyway.

Would you recommend the Powerslide Next or the Rollerblade Twister Edge X?

Hey there again, I have a couple more questions if you don't mind. First, is the foot bed on the Next flat once you remove the liner and shock absorber, or is there a bit of a raised heel? Also, I'm mostly going to be doing urban skating, so I'm trying to decide between the Powerslide Next and the K2 Uptown (I think I like the idea of a flat foot bed since I don't like raised heel shoes as my ankle feels more stable in flat shoes and my weight is more evenly distributed over the entire foot as opposed to the balls of my feet, but I'm not sure if that translates into skating)... Would you recommend one skate over the other?

The next is a raised heel, so any shock absorbers will cause more of a forward lean. I haven’t skated the Uptown, not sure any urban skaters really do. A plastic shell boot is usually best for that style.

I use the 50/50 backpack, but I own the company.

I was astonished by how much you can modify the boot and the buckles. There are marks inside the shell and on the belts of the buckles where you can shave of some material to adjust the fit and flex. Though it is irreverseable.

Would you recommend a 90 wheel over an 80 wheel? I am quite tall and am wondering if the larger wheels would be more suitable for stability over the 80s, given my taller center of gravity.

I live skating 90s, but I’m a fairly experienced skater. They’ll be much better for distance but less stable as they’re a bit taller.

@@BacktoBlading Gotcha, I thought maybe the slighter longer wheel base of the 90s would provide more stability but now you've mentioned that also means they're a bit taller, I too think that 80s with a lower centre of gravity is the way to go. Smaller wheels on a 4x90/275mm frame will work fine if you're looking for greater stability that comes with a slightly longer frame compared to a 4x80/243mm designed frame. They'll feel lighter but be slower like 4x80 which might be what you want. I have the exact skates and frames in this video but I roll on 80mm wheels for now. My skates originally came with 3x100/231mm which I think is too short for my skill level now, so when I do use that frame I install 84mm wheels which lowers me a bit.

Hi there, I’m thinking about getting the Powerslide Next Core 80, my largest foot is 24.2cm, and the size 38-39 is 24.2 - 24.8cm. I’ve read from some others that once the liner breaks in it loosens up more, and that it’s better to size down if you’re close to the lowest size of the shell, but the next size down is the 36 - 37 / 22.9 - 23.6cm size. I’m concerned if I go with the 38 - 39, the liner will lose volume and I’ll have a sloppy skate, but I’m not sure if the 23.6cm is going to be too small. Are the sizes just based on the liner, or do they reflect the internal dimensions of the shell? Any Adobe would be greatly appreciated.

Hey, Next sizing is a bit weird. They size narrow and the top of the ankle can be tight. I would probably go with the 38/39 if I were you. The ratchet buckle will help pull your foot back and stop the slop.

Wisdom is valuing health over worrying if others may find safety gear dorky looking. It would be unfortunate if you had to learn this lesson the hard way through concussion and broken bones. It all catches up to you, and youthful bumps and bruises can turn into lifelong health problems. It only takes one bad fall to change your life-and those who would have to care for you-forever. At least wear a helmet especially if you skate aggressive.

these plastic skates look like trash, sorry for anyone who likes these but if you changed the color to red and yellow it would look like a "Little Tykes" childrens toy. and reminds me of the skates of the 90s, we've evolved much further than this technology now with carbon and synthetics boots, no need to continue using this old and out dated crap. the only reason it was used originally was due to the fact that rollerblade could not come up with a good system in the 90s that would hold the heavy wheels in place without flexing too much. look at a hockey skate for example. NHL skates. there isn't any plastic on them. they lace up with just laces. if textiles are good enough for the NHL they're good enough for me.
