Do you have any tips in how to see value in colors? I have been really struggling with this thank you 😊❤
Very interesting, maybe I should begin to draw, it looks like an enjoyable hobbie, I'm discovering it now... Your skills are amazing! Do you think it's possible to create hyper realistic drawing completly from the mind? I mean without a photo referense?
Do you ever use pastelmat for colored pencil? I was interested in what your thoughts are. Thank you

She mentions in an early tutorial - no because you cannot get the tiny details , but me personally enjoy pastel mat … each to their own i guess
Can we use brustro 300gsm paper sheets please reply me 😢😢
Pls mention the paper u used for your drawings
Hi Jessica, must I completely cover the 1st layer with the 2nd layer and the 3rd layer with the 2nd layer completely before I start shaping the fur? Or should we always leave a gap in the next layer? Thank you.

Ideally you want to get your base layer in with the varying shades of highlights and shadows before you start adding in any fur stroke layers. Then add in an area of the darkest fur values to help you more accurately judge values as you add in the other values of fur stroke layers.

@@jessicamatheneyfineartThank you very much. I am trying to improve myself with what I have learned from you. Thanks again
If you drew a portrait for a client and they asked you to make a minor change, how do you make changes or corrections? Trying to draw over an area to change it hasn't worked for me.

Exvellrnt tips. Never understood the point of realism, though you might as well have a photo. Artists impression is what makes art, a picture in sepia or blue isn't realism but still art.

I agree that each artists impressions of what they want to create is what makes art. We all have our preferences on what we enjoy. 😀 I would have to say that all forms of art is creative art, from abstract to realism, they all have a great deal of value and beauty. With the mimicry of realism I personally find it fascinating what the human mind can do; process information to recreate a lifelike image like a printer. To realism, each artist has their own style, and there are lots of changes to the look from a photo to the actual drawing. Many people desire to draw realistically for many reasons, but I personally prefer to create scenes, I have an image in my mind of what kind of scene I want to create, and then I find references to help me realize the amount of detail, lighting and animal positions I want. I just don't always have time to spend on creating scenic drawings, and I spend most of my time teaching lessons and it is easier for people to learn with more simple subjects. I think a lot of artists trying to learn to draw realism also desire this, to draw realistic sort of fantasy scenes of things they love.

@@jessicamatheneyfineart Well said, your drawings are amazing especially the fur. I am personally obsessed with smooth shading for some reason even it isn´t realistic, sfumato. Starting to try pencils as apposed to charcoal & oil painting, your videos are very helpfull, the best on the net by far, thank you.
Pretty disgusting that you cant answer the question asked, what paper did/ do you use, very simple question
