I found these insights inspiring, and they align with my own journey in personal branding. It's a continuous process of self-discovery and relationship-building.
The way she started off the speech was AMAZING
5:26 self awareness 7:22 telling your story 9:07 deepening relay
It comes to the following question: "what do you want to be known for?" and once we have a clear understanding of it, it becomes easier to position ourselves and build a powerful personal branding.
Benefits of having personal brand 1. You lead more 2. You win more 3. You earn more
I’ve long heard about Bobby Knight and his “going off the rails.” He was masterful at that. It’s great to hear the behind-the scenes story and she altered my opinion of Knight.
Excellent video, do agree that in order to be able to properly market yourself you have to really know every aspect of your own persona to eventually know what areas of yourself you should work in order to achieve a particular goal, and in what others you are naturally good at, kind of like nature vs. nurture.
This woman is a great speaker, I love her.
Good stuff. As I read and learn more about personal branding, I always hear be authentic, unique, self aware, and tell your story. First time deepen relationships have come to surface. As an introvert, I believe deppening relationships in an important quality.

Deepening relationships takes time and effort, but it's worth it. Strong relationships make our lives richer and more fulfilling.
First 10 minutes is really good. Thanks!
Story: 1. Attention getting 2. Relevant benefit 3. Memorable
For me as a non-English native speaker, I honestly couldn’t catch all the word she said. But somehow I got her messages and her personalities shown here. And that’s also a good example to learn from.
Great talk. Use yourself to benefit others! Find what you are good at and make this your personal brand. Don't try to fake it.
Ann Bastianelli emphasizes the application of marketing principles from big brands to personal branding was spot on!
When you say, “what do you want to be defined as?” Is it what I wish to be, or who I truly am. Plus can you simply define yourself? I feel there is so many components about ones self that can’t be entailed to one definition.
You made some great points, often the core lessons are so simple that people looking for a complex answer mistake it as not powerful. BTW those slogans 2 scoops, leggo my Eggo, what a legacy. Great job Ann!
Great talk, authentic, true to your brand, very inspiring. thank you.
I really enjoyed this. The personal stories said a lot to me. Now I have a lot to think about.
I am just starting my own website. This gave me so much insight into what my personal branding is. Truly well said.
You lead more, win, more and earn more with what others think of you!
Loved this. /really encouraging and thought provoking!
Well done, thanks for the knowledge. 👍
Absolutely great talk !!
You....go....girl!! The strategies of branding you laid out could easily be used to deepen relationships- with anyone, could be used to make plenty of money,of course, or even be a major player in influencing folks to champion a cause for big time humanitarian efforts!! Many applications. Thanks for making it so simple :)
Superb, Ann! Will bear multiple viewings well. This is to be metabolized, not blown through.
So powerful talk, loved it
Stumbled across this at just the right time, thank you 🙏
encouraging indeed...
It's such a great speech, Thanks a lot Ann. Really helpful
What a great talk! Thank you for the inspiration. I am currently embarking on a phase of more deliberate personal branding.

Hi Gabrielle, it's been 5 years since your comment - I wonder how personal branding is going for you? I'm creating software to essentially make personal branding effortless, I'd love to hear some of your pain points about personal branding. Would really appreciate it if you write back!
It's all about making money and more money, that's the success in life for these people. Good luck.

Not really. There are people like Dalai Lama, Gaur Gopal Das and Sadguru; they don't care about how much money they own. They care about how much knowledge they can share. The more knowledge they share the more successful they feel.

sorry but what is the lesson to learn exactly? you just give steps on how to build your personal brand but not how you actually implement them. it's like saying 'how to become succesfull, step one become an millionaire, step 2 become president' yeah ok but HOW
