Hey wussup my bro! I'd love to do an iPad version - I just haven't tested it with a full array of our sounds imported - as it would be more realistic for me in a real-life test... I'll keep you posted!
2 questions……in another video, you used the nano kontroller to control the stems/song sections in Ableton, going to different parts seamlessly. Will you provide a tutorial on how to set up live sessions for using the nano kontroller for stems? Also, are we able to go back and forth between using the nano kontroller for keyboard sounds and song stems seamlessly as well??
@prettysimplemusic
2 жыл бұрын
Great question my bro! The Nano can be used is many ways. I think it can seamlessly be used “back and forth” from DAW to DAW, but not at the same time… I use it for Logic during my performance on keys, then I’ll use my other Nano for Ableton stems. But lately since I don’t play at a church or have a constant venue, I’d probably only use my computer keyboard to control stems in Ableton. The simple way to setup the Nano inside is Ableton is the “learn” feature (at the top). So by clicking each part of the screen, I’d sync it manually with each button & fader of my Ableton session.
Thanks for the video. Could you show how to setup the midi controller surface with Ableton Live ?
KC!!!! Hey man I enjoy your vids. Quick question. Do you have any patches for Logic Pro?
Wonderful video. I used luminous paint on my faders and knobs. When it gets dark they show up great 👍
i’m wondering what i should do if i have 9,10..or more tracks in project, still the fader and orthers button work and how to set up that, anw your video is very helpful, thanks for sharing this 😋
You can do a *similar set up using AUM on the iPad. That was my go to set up when I was playing in church. LOL. iPad + Yamaha Bluetooth Midi adapter that I could plug into any MIDI keyboard/piano. Let's go!

Hi Keryl - the NanoKontrol has a setup installation that makes it sync perfectly with various software. In some DAWs you'll have to manually set them up, but for Logic it is (thankfully) an automatic function...

Hi kc... Good job... Pls can I use this nanokontrol 2 with PSR e463? Will it work with sir?
Hey KC! Really like the video, you remind me of the John Mike's videos of him running sounds from iPads, iPhones with midi controllers, pretty neat. I do want to find out from you, do you sample these sounds to keep them for yourself (apart from sounding consistent), or is it to mitigate costs (just checking Sweetwater the Montage, Fantom, Stage 3, Kronos, K2700 are all at least $3000). I like this idea, but we attach certain feelings to keyboards and sounds (Power Grand on the Yamaha, and MKS-20/J-Pop on the Roland). Curious to hear your thoughts.

Thank you for the awesome video! PLEASE HELP: I have a simple digital piano setup in my living room (Kawai MP11se piano, microphone, Yamaha MG10xu mixer, Adam Audio A8H monitors/subwoofer and a Mac Studio). Since this is in my living room, I don't want a messy 4-5 keyboard setup so I'm planning on hooking up a small sound module for extra sounds. The nanoKontrol2 looks like a perfect addition to my setup but how do I use it with my sound modules instead of VSTs? For a DAW, I'm considering using (free) GarageBand unless you recommend something else. Thank you!
KC, how do i get my sounds to sustain longer? they tend to cut off too soon.
Where can I buy the indiviudal roland mks ep 2 vst sound
Hello! Comment fait on pour attribuer la modulation et l'expression aux faders ?
Question, don’t know if I missed it but what is the order your connection with. As in keyboard to nano to computer or how? Kinda confused also where does the audio come out from the laptop or keyboard? Sorry am new to this. Thanks, God bless 🙏🏻🙏🏻
How did you link your faders to the main volume of the channel track?
Hi kc I use Fl studio, can this setup be done on fl too?
hi KC, in gigs I have been involved in, I’ve been using a ‘dual keyboard’ setup on MainStage. Different sounds split over upper and lower keyboards. So in a song i might suddenly play brass LH with strings RH, then do B3 organ lead LH, with piano RH etc etc Will Logic allow me to have dual keyboard setup. TBH ive never tried doing dual keys.
