Hi, first of all I wanted to congratulate you on your videos.... Really interesting, well done and educational. My need is for live use with my band. 20 years ago I was using a pc with a m audio firewire 410 with which I used to manage stereo backing tracks, drummer clicks + vst instruments played live, all driven by cubase. Now it's been 20 years (in which I've been away from gigs) and I'm undecided on what to buy. I have 3 macbook pro's at home so I could use one of them for audio. I don't need to record: I just want to be able to manage backing tracks and simultaneously play vst instruments live (using main stage or gig performer or something... I'll have to look into that too). So I'll need at least 4 outputs (using the backing tracks in mono on one channel and the click on another channel + 2 stereo channels for vst). The idea is to get a soundcard that I can then also use in the future if I decide to switch to ipad (to lighten up the equipment). I also need to connect at least two keyboards via midi, and this I could do by adding a usb hub. I also need traditional midi inputs because I have an old keyboard that doesn't send control changes via USB but only via the midi outputs (although I could probably use a midi to USB cable). Currently what sound cards do you feel like recommending for the use I need? Thanks in advance!

Nice video! Can you do a video demonstrating how to use an iPad for backing tracks in a live church service when there is no drummer or as a compliment to a drummer? To be able to, in real time, adjust the tempo of a shout track and so on. That would be a very helpful video.

Aloha John, Just liked and subscribed. Big mahalo for all of the videos you put out. Several have helped me lately. And this one is is doing the same. I want to use my iPad in a way to control both my KeyLab Essential 88 and my Nord Stage 3, plus add the Roland SRX Brass software that I have into my gig mix. This looks like it might be the answer. Still not sure that I might have to have my Mac mini at the gig to find a home for the Roland software via Ableton Live. Any thoughts on that one? Thanks for the great videos.

Hi John, just wanted to ask - how much storage do you have on your current ipad pro running all these apps? I have a 128GB ipad pro, but planning to get 256 or 512GB. I only plan on running AUM, MKS Xtreme, IK Hammond B3X, and probably Neo Soul Keys Studio. Thanks for this video!

I followed the instructions on this video but got the 128gb iPad mini. Yet, I still was able to use it and it had changed the sound of my church. Thank you for sharing, I’ve now ordered a 256gb. It’s going up from here

I’m having trouble with my iPad (3rd gen) syncing up to any device via usb. It has been taking me almost a whole Service for me to keep refreshing for the iPad to find the USB device. Please advise… thanks!

Yea I’d say it’s time to get a new one at this point...the 3rd gen is way out of date now...
