Power Trip - Executioner's Tax (Swing of the Axe) Cover

R.I.P Riley Gale.
I started mapping out the drum midi for this shortly after Riley Died, but I've only managed to finally get it finished recently. I know I can't mix midi drums very well, but it is what it is!
Both rhythm guitar tracks were recorded in 1 take on camera then panned left and right, with the Intro "lead" track being dead center.
Hope you Enjoy!

Thanks for the kind words! Unfortunately I don't post popular enough videos and/or frequently enough to have lots of subs😂 But I definitely appreciate the compliment! 🙂

Very nice playing mate. You're so lucky to own a KE1, I am very jealous! Can't believe Jackson still wont do a reissue even with Friedman being at Jackson for a while now. Surely some kind of throwback should exist :(

Thanks! Mine isn't 100% anymore though unfortunately :( The screw holes for the top nut have stripped and I tried filling and re-drilling them with no luck, so I've just blocked off the FR instead, it still sounds amazing though and actually feels easier to play now, I don't think these guitars were meant to have a floating trem, they should have all been with either fixed bridges/Khalers in my opinion. Yeah I would have thought they would do something, but I guess since Marty Isn't specifically using a KE1 as his sig model anymore it wouldn't make sense to from a marketing point of view.

I'm going to sound like the biggest poser ever when I say this but I still need to get into more of their stuff, I actually haven't heard much, but they're one of those bands that I really enjoyed seeing live twice without knowing any of their music the first time(which is a rare thing for me). My band play this song live out of respect for Riley and it always goes down well with everyone. I actually haven't got into a lot of new music since being in a band either, I should get off my ass lol.

Thanks! I will hopefully use it for something, may even demo it in a video at some point for the hell of it. Which version did you have? 6 or 8 knob?

@@DomicidalCovers 6 knob. I was such a good deal back then, I then sold it like an idiot. Used to run a tube screamer in front .

@@Boogiethrash Yeah I bought mine for probably around the £350 mark I think. I had been using my MXR Wylde OD in front of it, and it sounds crunchy as hell, but it was VERY compressed. I bought an SD-1 a couple of years ago for the Chris Oliva tone, I'm still yet to own or even try a TS. Was yours the vertical input version with the metal corners? I heard those are almost identical to the old school JCM 800s.

@@prototype9904 Ah well. I was just actually talking to my band mates last night about how much we all learned as musicians, and I was saying how I probably made the most progress(at least in terms of twchnical ability anyway)within the first few years of my playing, life just gets in the way sometimes. It's mostly about dedication, having the time to practice, but also knowing how to practice properly 👍

@@DomicidalCovers Yep, I can agree with that, but for me personally, I think my biggest obstacle was a medical condition I was born with... I went diagnosed for most of my life, I believe the technical medical term is called "stupid fingers" haha
