You are a life saver. I am going to do this over the New Year's break. I bought the Hitachi pump and hoses from Rock Auto. I have three Maximas that I am trying to keep on the road as long as possible. They are decent cars if maintained, in my experience.

Update: The Lucas PS stop leak did not slow down the leak and it turns out it wasn't the pump but the pressure hose which was very difficult to replace. Germain Nissan in Columbus, OH wants $267 for the hose and $530(3 hrs labor), for a total of $797, before taxes. Here is a good video on replacing the hose: kzread.info/dash/bejne/c3Vhk9uFqa3Tmso.html&ab_channel=TRQ I just attempted to replace my PS pump after watching how easy this video appeared. I should have read the comments below, which mention 2 additional top bolts which apparently someone had not previously re-installed on this maxima. I rarely have a job I cannot complete but this was the exception as I never saw the top 2 bolts. I did try to loosen the 3 front bracket bolts(thru the pulley holes) but this did'nt help. I was barely able to get it back together as I was prying on the pump and none of my bolt holes would line up. As my leak was a minor leak, I went against my better judgement and used a bottle of Lucas PS stop leak. Not a fan of any type of stop leak but I do not think I am capable of removing this pump.

Fyi for anyone watching. This video fails to mention two additional 13mm bolts at the top of the pump. They are by far the hardest part of this job.

@@jordanfollett1675 you need to take off a bracket on top of it (2x10mm) then the two bolts are underneath. You need small arms, a variety of socket sizes and extensions, and a weeks worth of patience.

Good video but that maxima takes Dexron type ATF for power steering fluid. Not power steering fluid
