A power steering is a mechanical device equipped on a motor vehicle that helps drivers steer the vehicle by reducing steering effort needed to turn the steering wheel, making it easier for the vehicle to turn or maneuver at lower speeds.
Hydraulic or electric actuators add controlled energy to the steering mechanism, so the driver can provide less effort to turn the steered wheels when driving at typical speeds, and reduce considerably the physical effort necessary to turn the wheels when a vehicle is stopped or moving slowly. Power steering can also be engineered to provide some artificial feedback of forces acting on the steered wheels.
What is electric power steering?
Electric power steering (EPS) is a key technology for highly automated driving. The Bosch EPS variants meet the requirements for small, mid-range, sports cars as well as light commercial vehicles. The EPS has an electric motor which controls the vehicle steering.
What are the 3 types of steering?

What is advantage of electronic power steering?
It eliminates the need for a power steering pump, hoses, hydraulic fluids, and a drive belt and pulley on the engine. As a result, electric power steering is energy efficient and environmentally compatible - while offering extras like simplified tuning, packaging flexibility and engine-off steering assist.
What is difference between power steering and electric steering?
The Electric power steering simply uses a electric motor to direct the steering commands made by the driver easily whereas, a Hydraulic power steering uses pumps and piston for the same.
Do all new cars have electric power steering?
If you buy a car today, it will likely have a major difference in the power steering than cars from 10 or even just 5 years ago: The steering system will rely on an electric motor instead of a hydraulic piston for power boost. The majority of new cars sold today use electric power steering.
What is the disadvantage of power steering?
The disadvantages are it robs power from the engine to turn the pump, it needs fluid which can degrade and need changing, the hoses ,steering box or rack can leak or fail and are costly to repair or replace. Electric power steering does not take power from the engine and tends to be more precise and responsive.
How does electric steering work on a car?
The electric power steering uses an electric motor that draws energy from the vehicle's electrical system to provide steering assistance. Sensors detect the torque or effort that the driver is applying at the steering wheel, and a computer decides how much assist needs to be added

Sir ji, electric assisted steering mein poor feedback ka matlab hai, steering wheel chalane wale ko steering karte huye road condition ka pata nahi chalta, kyunki electric motor se assistance milne ke karan, steering wheel ko tyre grip or road resistance ka idea nahi lag pata hai aur woh actual road condition ke hisab se steer nahi karta hai toh precise steering decision nahi le pata hai

Galat information hai boss hydraulic or electrical steering depends on weight of vehicle…. Car me bhi hydraulic steering system use hota hai… or steering commercial vehicle jese tractor or jcb me double acting system use hota hai bahot adhura video

Yes but there is also a manual steering which we use ring gear ⚙️ if the motor is fail or stuck in move so the driver can use manual steering which consists of a ring gear
