The green ranger that you didn’t know was a nod to the Japanese Neo Saben series. It was one of the few couple teams that wasn’t remade in America.

@Matthew McDonnell They're from '80s serie Choushinsei Flashman in Japan. While first ranger serie MMPR was from '90s Kyoryu Sentai Zyuranger

Ziggy worked in rpm because he encompass what being a ranger was. Each ranger in rpm encompass a trait that was becoming of a ranger. Scott was selfless and heroic. Flynn was brave and didn’t care if he died as long as he could help. Summer was caring and kind. Dillion is strong and also very selfless. Ziggy...is the heart of a ranger. He doesn’t have the ability the others have, but he doesn’t need it. He’s selfless and had the heart to the point he goes against the mafia to help orphans

I get Ziggy is not the most powerful ranger, how does Ziggy not fit with the tone of RPM? Yeah he's a goofball but: 1) He stole medical supplies worth millions of dollars from a gang alliance he was a part of just to help an orphanage filled with sick children. He left the only protected city left in the world to save himself and make sure the mob never fought out what he did with the money. 2) Its Power Rangers versus the apocalypse, he's the only one on the team with enough humor to try and make light of the situation just so the rest of the team isn't overly stressed out or serious. 3) The whole point of his character is that he is completely unprepared to be a Power Ranger but still fights because it was the right thing to do. If he didn't become the Green Ranger, Tenaya would've gotten the powers and Venjix could use it to hack into their systems since Doctor K programmed them so only the first person who touched them could use them. 4) He helped Dillion and Doctor K break out of their shells, which ended up being a good thing in the long run for both of their characters.

Ziggy isn't one of the strongest rangers when it comes to fighting. But without him, the show would have become too dark and that would have made it more like Snyder era DCEU. Plus, he improves over time

What a comparison. At least PR rpm had personalities. You root for them, with all due respect to syder I was like what are you doing superman ? Among others but Ben was awesome even though he was dark, gal was great, superman in man of steel made me leave the movie theatre depressed. Bvs he sacrificed himself for damage control ? I felt nothing but my favorite DC hero was dead.

Well the boom comics recently revealed that there's a new Green Ranger, so yeah. In Soul of the Dragon, JJ Oliver turned into the strongest being the SPD Green Dragon Ranger.

Ziggy was more of the 'comic relief' in RPM. Yes, RPM was designed to address a darker and more serious tone to power rangers and that's precisely why Ziggy's there. RPM for me is a perfect blend between dark, serious, light-hearted, funny, epic and just straight-up Badass. Aka: The last good power ranger series.

Ziggy is meant to contrast the rest of the RPM characters. He is the most relatable character in that season. He is smart in his own way. He is caring and he also has a sense of humor that doesn’t really land most of the time but is always in good spirits. He is by far not the best green ranger but he equally not the worst. Especially compared to rangers like Mike, And more.

I agree about Ziggy from RPM should be 20th on the list because he really had a long way to go. He was 100/0 was surprised to be the RPM Gren Ranger because he's just a massive fan of Power Rangers!

Are you kidding? Ziggy had one of the darkest backstories of the group, had an amazing arc, and was one of the best examples of how to make a Ranger grow into being one. Ziggy was pure of heart, a friend, and ultimately helped Doc K get out of her shell. His spotlight episodes were also great. The way he became a ranger was so unique, his cartel backstory made you realize how nice of a person he was. For that and so many more reasons he is my favorite ranger.

Ziggy is great because of his clumsiness effort and heart he was the one who lighted up the dark atmosphere of RPM giving the viewers a laugh every time he's on screen and when he gave all that stuff to those sick kids and took the blame to keep them save it gave the audience for reasons to love him

No matter what age you are from, Tommy Oliver will always be the real Green Ranger!

IMO Ziggy is the best green ranger simply for his relatability. To put it simply his unpreparedness shows us how basically anyone can dawn a ranger suit whether they want to or dont. We get to see Ziggy mature as a ranger and improve his fighting. Ziggy is the best green ranger as he is the most relatable and shows that you dont need to he perfect to be a ranger.

The "Green Prism" was one of the earliest rangers version in Japanese Sentai Series that I watch & like. They back story bit sad thou.

Tommy's overrated. If we're talking about physical power and not a popular contest, Cam (Ninja Storm), Xander (Mystic Force ), Elephant Ranger, (Jungle Fury) and maybe Jake (Super Megaforce) can take him. Cam can also take off his shield like Tommy but his ninja training is more refined than Tommy's and is good in both ninjutsu and samurai training, which is a good counter to Tommy. Xander's magic have much more long range diversity, a power up that grants him more abilities. The Elephant Ranger also has the most experience and raw power amongst the Green Rangers. Jake can transform any of the previous Green Rangers and overwhelm with sheer diversity.

Ziggy is the weakest in raw strength. He DOES fit with the tone, RPM is dark but its also comedic, and its very much about flawed humans bettering themselves to overcome "perfect" machines. SPD was dark to and also had a lot of character humour

The Green Ranger in the original Japanese series ZhuRanger which the first season of MMPR is based on I find his background more interesting than Tommy. In the original he is the older brother of the red ranger, both were suspended in time for 65 million years. However the green ranger wasn't suspended the same way as his brother. Because of not being suspended in time the same way the Green Ranger only has 8 hours to live, so he has to stay in a chamber that stops time but everytime he leaves the chamber his countdown begins again. Like in mmpr the green ranger is on Rita's or Bandora's in the Japanese version side for a while until be decides to turn against her. In the Japaense version of which the first season of mmpr is based on the green ranger's story is a lot more personal since he is the brother of the Red Ranger. Also you guys should do a series of videos highlighting the differences in the stories between mmpr rangers and the original super sentai series that mmpr is based on, I think a lot of mmpr fans would be interested to see the difference in the stories especially between dairanger and the mmpr series based on it.

I liked Ziggy in RPM. Plus he had one of the coolest suits second only to Dillon.

The Spd green ranger should have been much higher on this list

For RPM, I watched for the Blue Ranger, but stayed for Professor K and Ziggy's Acting! Great actors! Love that series of Power Rangers

I think Billy should be considered the Greatest hero. He might not have been the best fighter but he was genius enough to make communicators that tap into the morphing grid making so the power rangers can teleport. And hes fixed the Morphers serveral times throughout the series.

@@kennethjuwah222 I agree with but try to not use profanity. Power Rangers is a kids show after all. As adult we're supposed to be an example for children.

I think they got "most powerful" confused with "favorite". The Tommy Green Ranger may have been most powerful compared to the rest Mighty Morphing rangers, but then you have the Zeo rangers which are explicitly more powerful than that, and then there are other rangers like Mystic Force that got more things going for them.

The bottom of this list is a bit of a stretch, Ziggy definitely deserved to be above off screen green rangers. In terms of actual power, psycho green is pretty OP, having actually killed 8 rangers. Jole from Lightspeed actually has a mega battle armor, which has made him Pretty strong. I think Cam should have been ranked 3rd, he is one of the most capable rangers of all time.

VOICE ACTOR was pretty excited talking about Star Trek and Star Wars, and I think that TNG gets better in later seasons...Johnny I can see why he is so popular with women. He has this "Gosh, golly" boy next door thing going on.

I liked Trip from PR: Time Force and it's one of the best seasons, but I think the producers dropped the ball by not casting the green ranger as a cute alien chick with green hair. Yellow ranger was far too bulky to be played by woman. They should have cast a muscular younger guy as a big, kind, teddy bear character. A young Terry Crews type actor.

Well, yeah. Their source material Zyuranger had the Green Ranger die. Because instead of Rita's candle taking the Green Ranger powers away, the Zyuranger version took away his life. Not to mention in Zyuranger the Red and Green rangers were brothers.

I agree 100% that Ziggy didn't fit in as an RPM Ranger because of the overall story but you have Go-On Green to thank for that. BTW I think that the RPM story was better then the Go-Onger story and that could be the only Power Rangers seasons that was better then it's Super Sentai counterpart

Aw, no love for Joe Shih the Hyperforce Green Ranger? Joe's the only Green Ranger to have a Zord with 6 heads (The Hydra-Zord) and hell, we haven't even yet seen his full potential (We haven't seen Hydra-Zord's Warrior Mode if there is one, or it's formation with the other Hyperforce Zords) Not to mention he has a sweet design.

He got his powers taken by a damn candle..... definitely not the most powerful Green Ranger of all time.
