Released in Japan as Gōketsuji Ichizoku 2 (豪血寺一族2), Power Instinct 2 features five new characters, giving a total of 13 playable characters and one unplayable boss (Otane Gōketsuji). The game's story picks off from the last game, with Otane having defeated her sister Oume in the previous tournament. However, with the help of their mother Oshima Gōketsuji, Oume kidnapped her sister, threw her into the ocean, and forged a letter saying that Otane has quit as leader, resulting in a new tournament. Otane does escape and fights the winner of the tournament in a bid to defend her leadership of the Gōketsuji clan.

This franchise used to be one of my favorites ( together with Fighter's History ). Nice to see someone who knows how to play it properly.

懐かしいけど30年前ってマジか・・・歳をとったものだ
凄い。お種に追い詰められて、最後は大逆転。昔プレイしていた時、しゃがんで歩いてくるお種は結構無防備なので、そこを投げるという全キャラ共通の攻略法で倒していたが、ここまで積極的に攻める勇気がなかった。
試合後のらくがおも最高だったと思う。Wバッファローのウソツキは草。
One of the most authentic fg franchises of the 90s. Sadly it has little chances of returning.
Another franchise that got either dash/run in the 90s before SF. Kinda weird how SF was so late to adopt some mobility mechanics, that even many smaller games got into.

do Fighter's History , i miss those days
Even though Groove on Fight improved the graphics and the gameplay, and Matrimelee as well (even further), these later games lost the comedy level the franchise had in the first 3 games. So in that aspect it felt like a step back.
I prefer the US version that is good for me and also great title and quotes. 👍🌟🙏

Really? To me the stages look way too busy and distracting,I'd have a headache after 5 minutes

The only thing good about this game is Range Muratas artwork for the player select who the company obviously hired for . Probly Freelance lol. The game itself is a disaster The engine and player art is awful . The level design is a mess. It looks about as amateurish as you can get for a sf rip off at that time.
