Thank you so much for that sweet reminder at the end that we are taking care of our homes for our family AND for the Lord. As a SAHM with two teenagers and one in college, I sometimes feel burnt out on cleaning/cooking/keeping schedules straight. It's a good reminder that I need to shift my focus to working as though I'm working for the Lord. If that's my attitude, my family will be blessed!

Loved this! We just built a new house and while that is exciting and I’m very grateful, they have not graded yet or put in sidewalks or anything and I’m starting to get very discouraged with all the mud! So thanks for the reminder of why we do what we do! I live in Holmes county and I grew up Amish. I have been binge watching your videos because I really want to start my own channel with similar content. I didn’t realize that there are people like me in our area that do this so I was excited to find you! I’m pretty sure we have mutual friends! Anyway, I love this community on KZread and your videos are my favorite of all, so thank you! 😀

What inspiring video clips from you. My house is cleaner because of you! Thanks. Just wondering if you worry about possible mold, mildew when damp dusting beneath things like books then put them immediately back in place. This has happened to me in the summer. Have you ever done a video to show how you clean your cloths, vacuum cleaner, or other cleaning supplies? How does the Bona mop get wrung? Don't I sound motivated? Thanks again.

I try to make sure I don’t put them back down if it’s really wet. I’ve had some things want to stick to the surface if you’re not careful. But try not to make it too wet. And yea- letting it dry is best ☺️. I haven’t shown that stuff I don’t think. I don’t necessarily do anything too fancy. I wash my rags like most of my regular laundry.

I know cleaning matters to God, but He uses the winds and the rains to wash it all away...If it wasn't for my roof...I think it's in His way today? Surely He would help lift the burden? And, probably do a far better job of it! It is raining outside though finally. Thank the Lord! And it was a wonderful day to get the laundry done up, but certainly I had to hang it inside. I love how He sometimes blows the leaves and grass down the sidewalk and far away. Nice. And, I love the sunshine to whiten and dry and shine onto everything. He is really a good keeper! And, I guess He doesn't mind doing it day after day for us?

I also have the stair issue. I set things on the stairs that need to go back upstairs, thinking surly someone (my adult daughter who lives with us) will bring it up when she goes. But nope, it sits on the stairs till I take it up. A basket will help keep it less cluttered.

Sharon and Lynette - I'm pretty sure no one "sees" the stuff on the stairs most days. My younger kids are much better at taking their stuff up than my 27 year old daughter who is living with us at the moment. I finally decided that I'm just going to stop being frustrated and go ahead and take the stuff (usually her mail) up for her because *I* love having uncluttered stairs. She will be getting married in 4 weeks and then I will miss her mail on the stairs (at least once it stops coming to our house instead of to her new address). :-)

Dana Betsill Sometimes we go about our daily lives not thinking about who or why we do the things we do. Sometimes even cleaning, with the right attitude and mindset, can show to others that we can work and show our Lord honor and gratitude in All things laid before us. Being resentful, anxious or lazy in the things we do daily, shows others that as believers, we don't know how to be grateful . Show honour of our Lord in ALL that we do when we serve our Family, friends enemies and foes and in doing that we Honour the Lord. Sorry if I wrote a lot, lol. Be blessed Peace

Please do not say you are lazy - said when you were picking items up off of the stairs to take upstairs. You work hard as we can see from your videos. There is enough negative things we have to deal with, so do not devalue yourself in any way - it can become a bad habit. I am sorry for sounding like I am chastising you, I do not want my post to sound that way because I enjoy you and your videos very much.

Carolanne Clark - I agree. I know for me, I tried using a pretty basket at the bottom of the stairs and I was actually less likely to carry it up and put the things away that were in it because it looked so pretty sitting there. But random clutter on the stairs bothers me, so I take it upstairs whenever I go up. And if there's more than 4 or 5 items I'll just take them up.
