I have a 5k and a 12k . Both very well made. Would recommend. Sticky grip helps confidence, especially swinging indoors.

Got that exact same mace a couple of months ago, and it's the one I use for 95% of things, since my first two maces are 130cm long. Very happy with it.

I see why you're using it so much with those long maces ;)

Yeah, the long maces work well enough for doing 360s, but you can't really do anything one-handed with them. They were the only maces I could get back then.

I couldn't get a 4kg mace so bought this instead as my first mace. I'm very pleased with it, I also have their 2.5kg mace which is tiny by comparison but I find that really good for warming up and figuring out new drills. Mostly I use it one handed much like a club bell. The build quality seems pretty good to me so no complaints there either

The shorter ones are more like clubbells indeed. Too bad they didn't make it longer..

@@TheFlowingDutchman yes I was quite shocked when I opened the box, it looked like a cocktail stirrer next to the 5kg mace! I did wonder what I was going to use it for, but now it gets used every day. I would be good to see such a light mace with a full length handle, the tube they use seems quite thin so hopefully the weight would still be concentrated at the head. Equally it would be interesting to see heavier maces with the short handle, this would duplicate a club bell but the weight would be at the end and possibly being good for single hand development.

I have the 5KG and 7.5KG power guidance steel maces and love them both. Use them every day. Ordered an Adex fat handled adjustable mace which cost allot of money. Regret not buying the power guidance 10KG and 12.5KG steel maces, which I think I would have enjoyed more and would have cost 33% of the overall cost of the Adex mace with shipping to Ireland. That said the build quality of the Adex mace is far superior, it's just the weight dynamic is totally different and I like to quickly move between maces when working out

I have both the 2.5 and the 5 kg. I only use the first one, because the second one is too long and to thick to do any one handed flow stuff (the disadvantage of being a short woman with small hands). I use it only for 360 ot 10 to 2 sometimes...

I dunno if I missed it but what do you think about the slightly longer handle? If I am not mistaken this one is 40" total length versus the others which are like 36-37.5? Do you feel the extra couple inches made it feel much heavier or change the balance at all vs others??? Also WHICH other maces have a pommel because seems like none of the ones I find have.

Hello Harbert, i bought this Power Guidance Mace and wanted to ask your opinion about a safety aspect. Do you think the connection between the bar and the weight can break over time by the centrifugal forces ? Did you ever heard or saw, that something like a broken Mace happened ? Could I trust the weld seam ? Maybe I am a bit overcautious, but I would like to hear your opinion about this aspect since you are a Mace expert. Thanks in advance.

Hey there, great! This will not happen, definitely not by just centrifugal forces. Take into consideration that a mace weighing 25kg can have the same handle and weld seam and still won't break. It should be tough enough to do tire slams with it too, which would be much tougher on the weld. Hope that helps!

Hi, I recently received a 6kg mace (also 4cm diam.) from strengthshop de. They have a store in Berlin and I am pretty sure they deliver in the Netherlands. How far from the globe should the middle knurling go?

  • @TheFlowingDutchman

Yes a 6kg mace is possible with a 4cm diameter, between 4 and 5 not however. These weights are more suitable for learning new moves.
